What the Hell is That Thing? | The Forest | Part 1

Happy Horror Month and welcome to The Forest! In part one, we analyze our first gameplay video where we crash-land in a mysterious forest and start exploring our surroundings while searching for our missing son. As we uncover more clues, it becomes clear that something unusual is taking place. In this episode, we talk about the creepy octaperson and flesh pile that chase us, as well as the humans(?) that inhabit the island - where did they come from and who are they? Also discussed, are the apparent missing children and the mysterious crater.

Don't forget to watch or play along - gameplay is posted weekly on our YouTube channel! We'll continue to play The Forest and analyze it in our podcast - join us in the coming weeks as we explore the island and solve its mysteries.

00:00:00 --> 00:00:04 So in this episode, icky babies, high -speed
00:00:04 --> 00:00:09 fleshy masses, and missing children. I don't
00:00:09 --> 00:00:12 know what the second one is. Sure you do. Say
00:00:12 --> 00:00:15 it again. What was a high -speed what? Fleshy
00:00:15 --> 00:00:17 masses. Oh, okay. High -speed fleshy masses.
00:00:17 --> 00:00:21 Masses of flesh. Okay. Running at you at high
00:00:21 --> 00:00:25 speed. Thank you for coming back for Replay Reviews
00:00:25 --> 00:00:30 Horror Month. My name is Leah. My name is Kathy.
00:00:31 --> 00:00:35 We are two friends who are here to replay, review,
00:00:35 --> 00:00:38 and analyze your favorite video games. And since
00:00:38 --> 00:00:41 Kathy has never seen the games before, it helps
00:00:41 --> 00:00:43 me view them through her fresh eyes. Almost like
00:00:43 --> 00:00:46 I am discovering them again for the first time.
00:00:46 --> 00:00:49 We hope it will be a similar experience for you.
00:00:51 --> 00:00:56 Do I sound like Dracula or just Italian? He sounded
00:00:56 --> 00:01:02 Italian. Happy October. Happy Horror Month. Obviously,
00:01:03 --> 00:01:05 we're playing The Forest. Did you say no? Yeah.
00:01:11 --> 00:01:16 We're playing The Forest. I really like the survival
00:01:16 --> 00:01:20 aspect of games like this. So I wasted a lot
00:01:20 --> 00:01:25 of time at the start of this game. It makes sense
00:01:25 --> 00:01:29 seeing your base camp now that I watched the
00:01:29 --> 00:01:31 video. I could see how much time and dedication
00:01:31 --> 00:01:34 you had to really making it big. I mean, you
00:01:34 --> 00:01:38 had a utility room. I had a utility room. At
00:01:38 --> 00:01:41 least double -walled, triple -walled in some
00:01:41 --> 00:01:45 areas. Very safe. Locks on all the doors. Slept
00:01:45 --> 00:01:48 in a treehouse. Had a blueberry garden. Rabbit
00:01:48 --> 00:01:53 pens. Dead rabbit pens. Can we go back? Dead
00:01:53 --> 00:01:56 rabbit. They're not alive. Oh, no, they're alive.
00:01:56 --> 00:02:02 I just kill them. I did not catch that. All I
00:02:02 --> 00:02:04 just saw was you murdering bunnies. Correct.
00:02:07 --> 00:02:10 Well, anyway, happy Horror Month for everyone
00:02:10 --> 00:02:14 except for Kathy. Well, let's actually start
00:02:14 --> 00:02:18 this episode. In scene one, we appear to be a
00:02:18 --> 00:02:21 father flying with his young son when the plane
00:02:21 --> 00:02:26 crashes. And then we come to. We see a man? Big
00:02:26 --> 00:02:29 question mark there. I don't know what that was.
00:02:29 --> 00:02:32 Human looking thing. It scoops up our son and
00:02:32 --> 00:02:35 carries him off. And we then have to gather what
00:02:35 --> 00:02:39 we can find to survive the night and go after
00:02:39 --> 00:02:43 our son. I feel like the thing that picked up
00:02:43 --> 00:02:48 our son, he kind of or she, it kind of just stood
00:02:48 --> 00:02:52 there. And do you get that same impression? It's
00:02:52 --> 00:02:54 just like. Watch this for a moment? Yeah, it
00:02:54 --> 00:02:58 was sort of kind of like, I dare you, come after
00:02:58 --> 00:03:02 me. And knowing what I know now, those things
00:03:02 --> 00:03:05 attack you when they see you. So why didn't that
00:03:05 --> 00:03:08 one attack and immediately kill us? And why didn't
00:03:08 --> 00:03:12 it kill Timmy? Maybe Timmy's already dead. I
00:03:12 --> 00:03:14 don't know. They seem to like making things out
00:03:14 --> 00:03:19 of people. So maybe they're just seeing pieces,
00:03:19 --> 00:03:21 ingredients. I don't know. Why didn't they take
00:03:21 --> 00:03:24 the lady? The flight attendant. Yeah, see, I
00:03:24 --> 00:03:26 don't know. And she appeared to have been killed.
00:03:26 --> 00:03:30 On impact? Maliciously. She had the axe in her
00:03:30 --> 00:03:34 stomach. I thought that was just as a result
00:03:34 --> 00:03:36 of the plane crash and then an axe flew around
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 the cabin and just stabbed her. Maybe, except
00:03:39 --> 00:03:43 it's labeled as plane axe. So I think it's like
00:03:43 --> 00:03:45 a safety axe from the plane. You know what I
00:03:45 --> 00:03:48 mean? Like it wasn't in someone's luggage. But
00:03:48 --> 00:03:51 anyway, our question is, what are these things?
00:03:52 --> 00:03:56 people these mutants why are some people dead
00:03:56 --> 00:03:59 some people left alive and some people taken
00:03:59 --> 00:04:03 so yeah we find the axe food drinks and then
00:04:03 --> 00:04:05 we find a passenger manifest which unlocks the
00:04:05 --> 00:04:09 objective to find the missing passengers do we
00:04:09 --> 00:04:13 get a bonus if we find everyone i get a trophy
00:04:13 --> 00:04:17 okay but anyway there's 43 of them But yeah,
00:04:17 --> 00:04:20 so exploring the island in search of suitable
00:04:20 --> 00:04:23 shelter, we first run across an odd morbid stake
00:04:23 --> 00:04:26 in the ground thing with like heads on it. And
00:04:26 --> 00:04:28 then not long after that, a group of abnormal
00:04:28 --> 00:04:32 human -like beings, which I run away from. I
00:04:32 --> 00:04:35 feel like abnormal is putting it lightly. Yeah.
00:04:36 --> 00:04:38 What the hell's going on? That's what I want
00:04:38 --> 00:04:40 to ask you. What the hell's going on, Kathy?
00:04:41 --> 00:04:46 I don't know. I mean, it's... These people are
00:04:46 --> 00:04:52 mutants, and they have full dexterity like humans,
00:04:52 --> 00:04:56 but they're also just like flesh. Also, where
00:04:56 --> 00:04:59 did they come from? If they are descendants of
00:04:59 --> 00:05:02 humans, how did they get there? But two, if they
00:05:02 --> 00:05:05 are survivors of previous plane crashes that
00:05:05 --> 00:05:09 have coped and then they now become this thing,
00:05:09 --> 00:05:12 but yet they kill people, how do they have a
00:05:12 --> 00:05:15 population? We're confused right now, I think
00:05:15 --> 00:05:19 as we should be. We continue to explore the island,
00:05:19 --> 00:05:22 run into some more goblins. So far they don't
00:05:22 --> 00:05:25 seem intrinsically hostile. You know, we kind
00:05:25 --> 00:05:27 of check each other out from a distance, not
00:05:27 --> 00:05:29 much else happens at this point. But they sound
00:05:29 --> 00:05:34 hostile. We then see that our objective is to
00:05:34 --> 00:05:38 find Timmy, also build a camp, find food, find
00:05:38 --> 00:05:40 the missing passengers, and find a way into the
00:05:40 --> 00:05:43 sinkhole. Which you missed. I don't know if you
00:05:43 --> 00:05:44 went back to look. I don't think I highlight
00:05:44 --> 00:05:47 it super great in the gameplay. There's a giant
00:05:47 --> 00:05:52 crater in this island. It might be like a meteoroid
00:05:52 --> 00:05:55 kind of situation and these are aliens, but it
00:05:55 --> 00:05:57 also doesn't make sense that they're so similar
00:05:57 --> 00:06:02 to humans. It's human adjacent. Or maybe like
00:06:02 --> 00:06:05 twice removed. So next day, day two. You'll see
00:06:05 --> 00:06:08 I quickly stopped tracking the days because my
00:06:08 --> 00:06:12 goodness. The amount of time I waste. So anyway,
00:06:12 --> 00:06:14 day two, we're bothered by some more of these
00:06:14 --> 00:06:16 gremlin things while trying to build a treehouse.
00:06:17 --> 00:06:20 They no longer seem curious, but rather aggressive.
00:06:20 --> 00:06:24 I end up killing one. Here's what I wrote. One
00:06:24 --> 00:06:27 looks on while I crush the ribs of his gasping
00:06:27 --> 00:06:30 comrade and then toss his body at him as a sign
00:06:30 --> 00:06:33 of dominance. However, he does not heed this
00:06:33 --> 00:06:36 warning, so I must dispatch him as well. It's
00:06:36 --> 00:06:39 aggressive, yet... Not aggressive enough of what
00:06:39 --> 00:06:47 happened. It's pretty visceral. Scene two. It's
00:06:47 --> 00:06:51 day seven. Day seven? I continue to... I just...
00:06:51 --> 00:06:54 I love how you track it. Somehow that caught
00:06:54 --> 00:06:58 me off guard. Keep going. I continue to build
00:06:58 --> 00:07:01 my base when I look down and see an octoperson?
00:07:02 --> 00:07:05 I don't know what that is, but I decided to not
00:07:05 --> 00:07:08 keep looking. So then we jump to day nine, more
00:07:08 --> 00:07:11 base building, and then to day ten. I have a
00:07:11 --> 00:07:14 run in with a pack of creepy things. This time,
00:07:14 --> 00:07:16 though, they get me. They knock me out and they
00:07:16 --> 00:07:20 drag me away. Can I ask if the game forces you
00:07:20 --> 00:07:22 to get knocked out? Like there's no way of winning
00:07:22 --> 00:07:26 them? Or was it just your skills? I don't think
00:07:26 --> 00:07:28 so. I was just trying to run away. I was like,
00:07:28 --> 00:07:30 you know what? If you want to live, I want to
00:07:30 --> 00:07:33 live. We'll leave it at that. Let me go to my
00:07:33 --> 00:07:37 blueberry bushes and... Well, have a good day.
00:07:37 --> 00:07:40 They didn't want to do that. I don't think that
00:07:40 --> 00:07:43 the game ever forces you to be dragged down there.
00:07:45 --> 00:07:47 But I will say it'd be very difficult to not
00:07:47 --> 00:07:51 ever end up in that situation. But I do wake
00:07:51 --> 00:07:55 up tied by my feet. I don't know why I went with
00:07:55 --> 00:07:56 me with the first person this time, but I did.
00:07:57 --> 00:08:00 Anyway, hanging from the roof of a cave. Oh,
00:08:00 --> 00:08:03 I switch it here. We cut ourselves free. We see
00:08:03 --> 00:08:06 another not so fortunate. passenger from the
00:08:06 --> 00:08:10 crash he strung up i also find a map of the cave
00:08:10 --> 00:08:13 a compass some survival items and a creepy note
00:08:13 --> 00:08:17 that says a jealous god punishes a parent's fault
00:08:17 --> 00:08:19 on their children so that feels a little bit
00:08:19 --> 00:08:23 out of place to me yeah do you think that someone
00:08:23 --> 00:08:26 brought it onto the plane at some point in time
00:08:26 --> 00:08:29 and then it got lost here or do you think someone
00:08:29 --> 00:08:32 was here and then wrote that on it or do you
00:08:32 --> 00:08:34 think the mutants wrote that and somehow no english
00:08:35 --> 00:08:38 I think it's a combination of the last two. And
00:08:38 --> 00:08:42 I'll explain why when we learn more. The cave
00:08:42 --> 00:08:44 went deeper, but I decided to turn back. I was
00:08:44 --> 00:08:47 like, I'm not prepared for this. What also unnerved
00:08:47 --> 00:08:52 us was all the fingers and bones and things dangling
00:08:52 --> 00:08:56 in this cave. They're very artistic people. Also
00:08:56 --> 00:08:58 kind of reminds me of the finger painting, Father
00:08:58 --> 00:09:02 Martin. Look at all those brushes, Father Martin.
00:09:02 --> 00:09:07 So many brushes. Disturbing. I miss him. I don't.
00:09:08 --> 00:09:11 All right, well, topside again. We're in a creepy
00:09:11 --> 00:09:14 camp where we find more dead passengers and a
00:09:14 --> 00:09:18 guy stuffed with tennis balls. Why? I think that
00:09:18 --> 00:09:21 maybe one of the writers just had tennis lessons
00:09:21 --> 00:09:24 forced upon him growing up because we see a lot
00:09:24 --> 00:09:27 of unfortunate tennis -related scenes in this
00:09:27 --> 00:09:31 game. But after being overwhelmed by creepy things,
00:09:31 --> 00:09:33 I make a run for it. only to turn around and
00:09:33 --> 00:09:37 see I'm being chased by some flesh pile, but
00:09:37 --> 00:09:40 I am able to shake him at some point. It's disturbing.
00:09:41 --> 00:09:43 So here's where I'm confused. I don't know if
00:09:43 --> 00:09:48 this thing is, like, born like that, or, like,
00:09:48 --> 00:09:53 became like that in this game, or if they decide
00:09:53 --> 00:09:56 to sew more stuff to their bodies, like, you
00:09:56 --> 00:10:00 know what I mean? Yeah. Added on as it evolved.
00:10:01 --> 00:10:04 yeah like is this pokemon like you start out
00:10:04 --> 00:10:06 as a person then you become that like skinny
00:10:06 --> 00:10:09 alien looking guy then you become one of those
00:10:09 --> 00:10:12 bigger blue looking guys and then you become
00:10:12 --> 00:10:17 this thing maybe uh after this encounter i decide
00:10:17 --> 00:10:20 might be a good idea to start building a wall
00:10:20 --> 00:10:23 around my camp so what do i do spend five days
00:10:23 --> 00:10:27 building a wall around my camp day 15 While out
00:10:27 --> 00:10:30 gathering supplies, I am startled by the sound
00:10:30 --> 00:10:33 of a bush rustling, and to my absolute surprise,
00:10:33 --> 00:10:37 out pops a baby. A little glob? I don't know,
00:10:37 --> 00:10:40 but while investigating with intent to murder
00:10:40 --> 00:10:42 the baby glob, I spot two larger yet equally
00:10:42 --> 00:10:45 grotesque creatures a slight distance away, at
00:10:45 --> 00:10:48 which point I decide to run away. I feel like
00:10:48 --> 00:10:51 running away is a really good option here. I
00:10:51 --> 00:10:54 agree. And you know what? That's when we skip
00:10:54 --> 00:10:58 ahead to day 20. My inner wall is complete and
00:10:58 --> 00:11:00 I decide to start building an outer wall because
00:11:00 --> 00:11:03 I want somewhere to run to in these situations.
00:11:04 --> 00:11:06 My next bullet point is day 34, question mark.
00:11:07 --> 00:11:10 This is where I start to lose track. So after
00:11:10 --> 00:11:12 improving my base more, I head out to scavenge
00:11:12 --> 00:11:14 and explore when I come across a camp of tents.
00:11:15 --> 00:11:18 In that camp, I find a Bible, a cave entrance,
00:11:18 --> 00:11:22 and a photograph of trees and an X. Oh, but also,
00:11:22 --> 00:11:28 before I had headed out, before I left to go
00:11:28 --> 00:11:32 explore, I tried to leave from one of my gates,
00:11:32 --> 00:11:36 and a stupid, icky baby tried to get in. Like,
00:11:36 --> 00:11:38 it was knocking on the door. It's really creepy.
00:11:39 --> 00:11:40 Yeah, I just closed the door and went out the
00:11:40 --> 00:11:43 other way, but it actually scared me. The good
00:11:43 --> 00:11:47 thing of spending so much time on your camp is
00:11:47 --> 00:11:50 that you built multiple doors and multiple exits.
00:11:51 --> 00:11:53 Exactly. See, that baby became a non -issue.
00:11:54 --> 00:11:57 Anyway, after exploring some more, I raced back
00:11:57 --> 00:12:00 to camp in the dark, dodging creepies along the
00:12:00 --> 00:12:02 way, and I locked myself back into the security
00:12:02 --> 00:12:07 of my base. And that's it for Scene 3. These
00:12:07 --> 00:12:09 are going to be quick episodes, you guys, because,
00:12:09 --> 00:12:11 well, see, the amount of gameplay was maybe,
00:12:11 --> 00:12:15 like, should I check? Should I check how many
00:12:15 --> 00:12:19 hours I've spent in this game? Five hours. Per
00:12:19 --> 00:12:20 part. It's like one gameplay part, yeah. Per
00:12:20 --> 00:12:24 part, sorry. Five hours per part. Let's see.
00:12:24 --> 00:12:27 So 20 hours? Why is it not showing me? Why does
00:12:27 --> 00:12:30 it... On some games it shows you play time and
00:12:30 --> 00:12:34 on others it doesn't. I'll have to log in on
00:12:34 --> 00:12:38 my PlayStation tonight and next recording I'll
00:12:38 --> 00:12:40 let you guys know how many hours I have spent.
00:12:41 --> 00:12:42 That should be one of the stats. Playing this
00:12:42 --> 00:12:46 game. I can tell you how long I've played the
00:12:46 --> 00:12:49 second game for. Second game to the forest? Mm
00:12:49 --> 00:12:54 -hmm. Now I'm curious if this one ends on a cliffhanger,
00:12:54 --> 00:12:57 but I'd say the second game roughly the same,
00:12:57 --> 00:13:00 probably. 20 -something. These are going to be
00:13:00 --> 00:13:02 fast episodes, so maybe we spend five minutes
00:13:02 --> 00:13:05 with this nonsense. When did this game come out?
00:13:06 --> 00:13:09 2023. Okay, so it's been a couple years. That
00:13:09 --> 00:13:12 makes me feel a little bit better about the 239
00:13:12 --> 00:13:18 hours. Oh my god! Leah, that's like playing for
00:13:18 --> 00:13:23 10 straight days, 24 hours each day. What? That
00:13:23 --> 00:13:26 doesn't sound so bad when you put it that way.
00:13:26 --> 00:13:29 I wonder how much of that was just your shelter
00:13:29 --> 00:13:32 building. Oh, a lot. A lot. Half of it? At least.
00:13:33 --> 00:13:36 Wow. Okay, long segue. Should we move on to the
00:13:36 --> 00:13:39 final scene of part one? Yeah. All right. I decide
00:13:39 --> 00:13:43 after, you know. 98 days. You know what? Maybe
00:13:43 --> 00:13:46 it's time to start looking for my son. He's probably
00:13:46 --> 00:13:51 dead by now. So I set off back to a cave entrance
00:13:51 --> 00:13:54 I had earlier discovered, now more armed and
00:13:54 --> 00:13:57 prepared for whatever may lie below. I am immediately
00:13:57 --> 00:14:00 molested upon entry. I don't know what those
00:14:00 --> 00:14:03 are. After taking care of them, I explore the
00:14:03 --> 00:14:05 cave, first finding more tents like the ones
00:14:05 --> 00:14:09 I found outside not long ago. And at this camp,
00:14:09 --> 00:14:11 I also find more bibles. Piles of skulls and
00:14:11 --> 00:14:14 some unfortunate people. There is one thing at
00:14:14 --> 00:14:17 this point I was asking you while we were watching
00:14:17 --> 00:14:21 the game. Why some of them are blue and some
00:14:21 --> 00:14:24 of them are like reddish white. I'm wondering,
00:14:24 --> 00:14:27 do they just change colors to like blue in the
00:14:27 --> 00:14:30 nighttime or in the dark and they stay red and
00:14:30 --> 00:14:32 white during the day? Because I don't think we've
00:14:32 --> 00:14:36 yet to run across a blue one in the sun, in the
00:14:36 --> 00:14:38 daylight, have we? I don't know. The ones that
00:14:38 --> 00:14:40 dragged me down looked kind of blue. Maybe they're
00:14:40 --> 00:14:43 cave ones. That's kind of what I'm thinking.
00:14:43 --> 00:14:45 There's definitely different mutants, and I think
00:14:45 --> 00:14:49 probably there's some that stay in the caves
00:14:49 --> 00:14:53 and they become more, you know, cave -oriented.
00:14:54 --> 00:14:57 The way they laugh is so disturbing, and I think
00:14:57 --> 00:15:00 we both mentioned this while watching it, is
00:15:00 --> 00:15:03 that we don't like it. You don't know this yet,
00:15:03 --> 00:15:06 but one of the laughs is the audio clue. This
00:15:06 --> 00:15:11 game. And there's summary episode of Mafia. That's
00:15:11 --> 00:15:16 so creepy. That really got stuck in my throat,
00:15:16 --> 00:15:22 but... I hate it. Okay, keep going? Mm -hmm.
00:15:36 --> 00:15:38 Dive into that, though. Fun drink. Three cents.
00:15:39 --> 00:15:45 What happened, man? Inflation? Three cents for
00:15:45 --> 00:15:48 a soda? That's me talking. I just left my parents'
00:15:48 --> 00:15:50 house and stole six cans of Mountain Dew from
00:15:50 --> 00:15:54 the fridge. Your dad's probably wondering what
00:15:54 --> 00:15:57 happened to them. Okay, so this is a newspaper
00:15:57 --> 00:16:00 clipping. Basically, two children disappear without
00:16:00 --> 00:16:04 a trace. I'll read the transcript that's on the
00:16:04 --> 00:16:08 forest. wiki it's a little jumpy because i think
00:16:08 --> 00:16:10 it's cut off in places but also i think it just
00:16:10 --> 00:16:13 wasn't written well because the game wasn't expecting
00:16:13 --> 00:16:16 people to actually read this with such intense
00:16:16 --> 00:16:22 attention report by brian ritz special report
00:16:22 --> 00:16:25 about a pair of very special children they haven't
00:16:25 --> 00:16:27 been seen since november of last year not much
00:16:27 --> 00:16:30 is known about what will happen in june the files
00:16:30 --> 00:16:32 on missing children are not very open to the
00:16:32 --> 00:16:36 public says a correspondent Why is this young
00:16:36 --> 00:16:38 child missing? We might never know. What will
00:16:38 --> 00:16:41 the parents say? Last year, there were so many
00:16:41 --> 00:16:43 missing children. These ones are no different
00:16:43 --> 00:16:46 from the others. There are so many files on the
00:16:46 --> 00:16:48 children. These are no different. See what I
00:16:48 --> 00:16:50 mean? Like who wrote this? There's no punctuation
00:16:50 --> 00:16:54 marks that are accurate either. By the end of
00:16:54 --> 00:16:55 the year, none of the children were found. All
00:16:55 --> 00:16:57 of them were still missing and unaccounted for.
00:16:57 --> 00:17:00 The spokesman went on to say many more things.
00:17:00 --> 00:17:02 We need to protect our children from evil forces.
00:17:03 --> 00:17:05 He rambled on for a bit. We aren't sure what
00:17:05 --> 00:17:07 he said. The mothers are very sad about all this.
00:17:07 --> 00:17:11 We aren't sure what to do. I'm sorry, what is
00:17:11 --> 00:17:15 this? Wait until I get to the other side. Everyone
00:17:15 --> 00:17:19 will be held accountably. It says accountably.
00:17:19 --> 00:17:21 For this tragedy, they said. We weren't sure
00:17:21 --> 00:17:25 who they meant or who they were looking at. What?
00:17:26 --> 00:17:29 Research suggests they might be in shock. They
00:17:29 --> 00:17:33 seemed normal to us. Next header. Without a trace.
00:17:33 --> 00:17:36 Annual report about a pair of very special children.
00:17:36 --> 00:17:38 They haven't been seen since November of last
00:17:38 --> 00:17:40 year. Not much is known about what will happen
00:17:40 --> 00:17:44 in June. It's the same thing. Nothing new has
00:17:44 --> 00:17:46 been found in the past few months. Someone went
00:17:46 --> 00:17:48 back to go look for them. They said they would,
00:17:48 --> 00:17:51 and they never did. We don't know what to think
00:17:51 --> 00:17:53 about this. Repeating, repeating, repeating.
00:17:53 --> 00:17:56 What does that mean? That wasn't printed in the
00:17:56 --> 00:17:59 actual newspaper, though, was it? I don't think
00:17:59 --> 00:18:00 so. I think it's just like the whole article
00:18:00 --> 00:18:04 is repeating, maybe. But then we get like where
00:18:04 --> 00:18:07 it was torn off. So we get like half sentences.
00:18:08 --> 00:18:11 So missionaries went dot, dot, dot, boat to find
00:18:11 --> 00:18:14 them. The dot, dot, dot. They had some clues.
00:18:14 --> 00:18:17 The dot, dot, dot. Very vague. Very, very dot,
00:18:17 --> 00:18:20 dot, dot. Who knows if they would dot, dot, dot.
00:18:20 --> 00:18:23 They had maps, so we dot, dot, dot. They knew
00:18:23 --> 00:18:27 what the dot, dot, dot doing. My first thing
00:18:27 --> 00:18:30 I focused on was about the missionaries, which
00:18:30 --> 00:18:34 made sense for the Bible to show up on the campsite
00:18:34 --> 00:18:39 or in the forest. But I also don't know if they
00:18:39 --> 00:18:42 made it back alive or how many of them and how
00:18:42 --> 00:18:44 they would make it back because we see so many
00:18:44 --> 00:18:46 bodies on the island that there has to be more
00:18:46 --> 00:18:50 than the 43 passengers on the plane. I agree.
00:18:50 --> 00:18:53 I think all of the white tent camps are... left
00:18:53 --> 00:18:56 there from the missionaries who i guess just
00:18:56 --> 00:18:59 came here to find the children and i don't think
00:18:59 --> 00:19:02 any of them made it back when they said that
00:19:02 --> 00:19:04 last year there were so many missing children
00:19:04 --> 00:19:08 were the missing children all children who were
00:19:08 --> 00:19:12 on a plane and then they went missing or i like
00:19:12 --> 00:19:17 we're what yeah i don't know because it seems
00:19:17 --> 00:19:20 like obviously the missionaries knew where they
00:19:20 --> 00:19:22 were, or maybe they just knew like a general
00:19:22 --> 00:19:26 area. But it seems like the parents are alive.
00:19:27 --> 00:19:29 And so that's why I kind of leaned towards maybe
00:19:29 --> 00:19:32 it was like, they came here to vacation or go
00:19:32 --> 00:19:35 camping or something. And then like the kids
00:19:35 --> 00:19:41 just went missing. I don't know. Continuing on,
00:19:41 --> 00:19:44 we find the passenger from seat 70, a chainsaw.
00:19:44 --> 00:19:47 And then I blow a hole in the wall to expose
00:19:47 --> 00:19:49 another passageway where I find a dead body.
00:19:50 --> 00:19:53 another Bible, and another landscape photo with
00:19:53 --> 00:19:56 an X on it. And then I find a climbing axe, which
00:19:56 --> 00:19:58 I use to keep moving through the cave system
00:19:58 --> 00:20:00 and eventually back to the surface and back home
00:20:00 --> 00:20:03 to my amazing base that I spent 100 days building.
00:20:03 --> 00:20:06 Yeah, this one's definitely dead. Look, I wanted
00:20:06 --> 00:20:08 there to be somewhere safe and comfortable for
00:20:08 --> 00:20:13 him to come back to. Well, what are your thoughts
00:20:13 --> 00:20:16 on part one? It's not that bad. I appreciate
00:20:16 --> 00:20:19 the daylight scenes in this. Besides the creepy
00:20:19 --> 00:20:22 monster, it is nice to kind of explore the area.
00:20:22 --> 00:20:24 It gives me a bit of the Red Dead Redemption
00:20:24 --> 00:20:27 vibes because there's forest and there's landscape
00:20:27 --> 00:20:29 that you're running around. I think I would really
00:20:29 --> 00:20:32 enjoy the game for the house building part and
00:20:32 --> 00:20:35 not anything else. You could play it on peaceful
00:20:35 --> 00:20:37 mode. Really? There is a peaceful mode? Yeah.
00:20:38 --> 00:20:43 We can play it online together, Kathy. So, should
00:20:43 --> 00:20:46 I call it? Yeah. We'll be back next week for
00:20:46 --> 00:20:53 part two. Perfect. On one audacity. Sorry. Audacity
00:20:53 --> 00:20:55 on one. Thank you for listening, and don't forget
