[00:00:38] It got crazy towards the end of the year. Hopefully a quality didn't slip too much

[00:00:55] Favorite moment in each game heavy rain is up first
[00:00:59] Okay, that feels like ages ago. I know right? I had to go through the gameplay again
[00:01:05] I just chose my top favorite. So I guess maybe do you want to go first or should I go first?
[00:01:10] I'll go first. There is a couple like one is more in
[00:01:15] The game and then the other ones are more us and our
[00:01:19] Reactions to things so the in the game one I just I love the coffee toss when the coffee gets thrown at Blake's face
[00:01:27] Amazing. I love that detail. I also
[00:01:30] Loved when we realized that Merlin is blue
[00:01:33] Oh my god. Yes, absolutely not a canary
[00:01:36] Yes, yes that part. That's one of my favorite parts
[00:01:40] And then my maybe maybe the ultimate favorite moment is when you chose Gordie Kramer
[00:01:51] That I was going to forget no, I was watching the gameplay and also the episode and I'm still feeling pretty terrible about
[00:02:00] I
[00:02:01] Teased me for it. Well
[00:02:04] Well, my favorite I just chose more related to the storyline
[00:02:09] It has to be when they're
[00:02:11] Throwing punches at the therapist or Blake is throwing punches at the therapist
[00:02:15] And then he just pretty much gets aggressive and Jaden pretty much shoves him back and he's like kind of like pulling him off
[00:02:23] That's probably my favorite part because that's really when we see Jaden having a backbone
[00:02:28] Yeah, it's the turning point character. I think yes, yeah, Kuzaki. Wami
[00:02:35] Should you go first this time? Okay? I feel like do you know what I'm gonna say?
[00:02:41] No, I know what yours is but mine is do you
[00:02:47] Mine is Nishiki in the end even though it breaks my heart
[00:02:51] It's in it and it just hurts
[00:02:54] I think him deciding to just take everything on and those responsibilities
[00:03:00] He did it and he ended and it's the completion of his redemption arc
[00:03:04] And it's just so well put together that we've seen going from two games from
[00:03:10] He's my fear and then I was like, oh no, he slapped a woman too
[00:03:14] Oh no, oh no, and still holding out hope for him only for in the end
[00:03:19] He takes that on and that's that's my favorite even though it makes me like want to cry right, but that's how you know
[00:03:25] It's good. Mm-hmm
[00:03:28] Okay, you have to try to guess mine then if you think you know has to be the blood slicking back the full transformation
[00:03:35] You know, I didn't write that down, but that is pretty sick
[00:03:38] That is pretty sick that is definitely up there
[00:03:40] But I feel like that ties in because I also wrote Nishiki's redemptive death as I choose to view it
[00:03:46] Maybe it just his character arc his his whole transformation and the full circle like you were saying
[00:03:51] I think that's the best part of the game for sure
[00:03:54] And then I threw in a little side note and also cosmos death because I can't stand
[00:04:01] But the blood the blood is a pretty good one I'm surprised that I didn't think of that
[00:04:06] So moving on to outlast two
[00:04:11] Outlast two this was harder for me. I'll let you go first
[00:04:14] mine's
[00:04:16] Not really cheating
[00:04:17] but I said that I like all the school portions of the game and
[00:04:22] All the depth that adds to I call it the village storyline
[00:04:26] We never really found a good way to describe
[00:04:28] That part of the story, but
[00:04:31] So based off of that
[00:04:32] I think I have to say that my favorite moment would be when we meet father L and get that whole backstory
[00:04:36] And that's all completed because I think that really just ties everything together
[00:04:41] If you've been reading the notes paying attention to the story, I think that that's the missing link for everything
[00:04:46] That's going on so for me. That was my favorite moment
[00:04:50] Mine's a lot more shallow than yours. It's okay. My heavy rain one was really shallow
[00:04:55] Well, and don't call me blood thirsty
[00:04:58] But my favorite part was probably when the cross fell onto Marta because it was like oh yeah instant karma
[00:05:04] And it's pretty ironic that that's what kills her poetic justice at its finest
[00:05:11] Next all right. I feel like we might have the same one for mafia
[00:05:14] What'd you put? I said it's probably the ending
[00:05:18] Where from the moment where Tommy slid out of jail and you see him give his speech at his daughter's wedding till the ending and
[00:05:26] Normally, I'm not one for those kind of conclusions where someone dies
[00:05:30] But I just thought everything was so nicely tied together and it's so
[00:05:34] Poetic you hear his narration
[00:05:37] From like the speech and it just it's just so well done
[00:05:41] It is I
[00:05:43] Put the same thing focused more on the the family is forever ending
[00:05:47] Oh, and I said this might be one of the most perfect endings
[00:05:51] I've ever seen in a game and I think I think it deserves to be talked about more than it does
[00:05:56] I think it's perfect the ending for this game
[00:06:00] It's just perfect. It's perfect
[00:06:03] So I'm glad that you liked that ending and we finally have an ending
[00:06:07] Yes, that we agree on it feels great. That is also the second layer that adds on to why I felt so good about
[00:06:15] Oh, yeah, being my favorite scene in the game the overall game too felt really good too
[00:06:20] I really like the overall game
[00:06:22] And then last but not least layers of fear very fresh very fresh in our brains for me
[00:06:29] I
[00:06:30] Decided my favorite moment is probably noticing last second the portrait above the wife's vanity
[00:06:36] Because that realization really just tied the whole game together
[00:06:39] Sort of like with alas too when we got all the backstory with father L
[00:06:44] It's just the missing piece that really solidifies
[00:06:47] What exactly is going on here?
[00:06:49] it is good and especially when I was going through gameplay again having the knowledge of
[00:06:56] She's probably talking to herself that portrait just made everything much more clear and
[00:07:02] Understandable why things happen the way it did so I like that before me
[00:07:08] It's a little rat that guides us and just like pause
[00:07:11] Wait for us and it's just so cute. I love that little rat
[00:07:14] I didn't put him in the gameplay because I was in a time crunch, but I will put him in this episode

[00:07:36] What about moving on to topic number two favorite game of the season so for this one we're gonna do what we did last season I
[00:07:43] Think we're gonna say what our favorites are and then I'm gonna guess what the IMDb scores are and you're gonna tell me
[00:07:49] What they actually are do you want to go into what your favorite games are or should I do that first for just
[00:07:56] the ultimate game or

[00:08:04] Okay, so here's mine's a little longer
[00:08:09] Because like I said in the last season wrap-up
[00:08:11] I I spend a lot more time with these games and I have to edit them and I also play them
[00:08:18] Which you don't do so I have things that
[00:08:21] Urk me about all the games because of editing and then things that bring me more enjoyment in the actual
[00:08:26] gameplay
[00:08:28] So I think that the the best game technically speaking is mafia without a doubt
[00:08:34] I think it's it's cohesive. It's coherent. It's fun to play the story opens and closes without leaving like anything to be desired
[00:08:41] So I think technically mafia is definitely the best game that we did
[00:08:45] My personal favorite. I think I have to say heavy rain
[00:08:49] Oh, it just it has an odd charm to it
[00:08:54] Thanks, I think in large part to Norman Jaden that character is just top tier
[00:08:58] But it has a nice mystery which you know, I love a mystery and then the rainy atmosphere
[00:09:03] It just makes me feel nostalgic. We live in a rainy part of the country
[00:09:06] Mm-hmm. I just like that feeling and it puts me in the perfect mood for playing games
[00:09:10] so
[00:09:11] Even though it has tons of issues
[00:09:13] I really enjoy playing it and I think that the time constraint and the decision-making is
[00:09:19] Unique it's it's not as off something we see in games as often so but even with all its problems
[00:09:25] It becomes pretty immersive and enjoyable. So I think for those reasons
[00:09:30] It was my favorite, but I don't think it's technically the best at all
[00:09:34] Yeah
[00:09:35] And it doesn't help that they did so much cutting in the end
[00:09:41] Which left a lot of plot holes, but I can see it being your favorite
[00:09:46] It's not even plot holes that they left behind its whole roads

[00:09:56] I know that there are people who enjoy it as I do, but I think we all see the issues with it
[00:10:02] So I'm gonna rate it at a six point seven

[00:10:33] I don't think it's nearly as good as the first game even after they tone down some of the
[00:10:40] The chase scenes that made it extremely excruciating to play
[00:10:44] I think it's gonna be rated a lot higher than I would rate it and I think it's gonna land it around an 8.3. Oh
[00:10:52] 7.5 it's even lower than what we thought okay
[00:10:55] That might be what I would have actually personally rated at that though. All right mafia
[00:11:00] I think mafia is gonna blow it out of the water. I'm gonna be shocked
[00:11:05] Yeah, if it is lower than the heavy rain score of 8.8, but I guess 8.7 8.3

[00:12:33] For out last we had Ethan and for Mafia we have Sarah. So these are the four KFCs that I picked
[00:12:41] So this is your overall favorite out of these four, right?
[00:12:46] See this is tough because I feel like you like Sarah the most but I don't know if she's done enough

[00:12:57] So I think it's gonna be between Shinji and Jaden

[00:13:20] He deserves an afterlife like Yakuza afterlife and it's just him as a ghost

[00:14:16] Sucks and she did a lot bad and then father L obviously did a lot of horrible things as well

[00:17:56] Because for me and I'm just gonna add this is Shinji like hands down but the two of them so
[00:18:02] Close together in terms of where they stay in the rankings
[00:18:06] Plus that motions because they died not too long. Yeah, I'm a death is almost identical, right?

[00:18:16] Game cuz yeah, Nishiki dying I get that
[00:18:20] But Shinji died like there was no need to kill him because
[00:18:24] He could just like fake his death and then move on like you didn't have to do this to us
[00:18:29] If I had been seeing this game for the first time
[00:18:32] I would probably take back though. There weren't any heart-wrenching deaths this season comment
[00:18:36] Knowing what's gonna happen. It didn't hit the same for me, but I will say the first time I played kiwami
[00:18:43] I mean my heart was broken the whole game for Nishiki and then
[00:18:48] Raina we got in why zero as well, which is why I would rate her above Shinji
[00:18:53] And because we didn't we didn't get enough Shinji in this game
[00:18:56] And I think if we had gotten more Shinji he would be the ultimate mother respect her
[00:19:01] Funny how all the mother respecters are from Yakuza though, huh?
[00:19:04] Well, I think it just goes to show the storyline that the the care they take with the the characters
[00:19:12] And it's not as shallow not saying that the others are shallow because Mafia isn't
[00:19:17] But they give more emotion and I do have to credit the voice actors for all the characters for giving such a stellar performance of
[00:19:25] Making us feel things
[00:19:27] Play the game with Japanese audio don't do English dumb no offense because I haven't listened to it
[00:19:33] I'm sure the voice actors were great, but if you want to sneak preview do you why zero chapter six?

[00:20:17] Those are all wonderful things but when they happen at the same time and you're trying to put out episodes
[00:20:22] It gets a little stressful
[00:20:23] So hopefully towards the end of the season it won't be as rushed as it was
[00:20:27] After next season, we will also be taking a break from the Akusa series
[00:20:31] We're gonna finish out the the Kiwami remakes and leave it at that for a while
[00:20:35] I think we're getting a little over-yacuzzi. I'm sure the audience is getting a little over-yacuzzi because of how much we talk about it
[00:20:40] So we're just gonna wait until we're ready for the next dose and as usual
[00:20:45] We're gonna aim to start the season in June, but also depends on a certain games yet to be announced release date
[00:20:52] We're gonna be doing something a little new with our format for one of these games
