00:01:21 --> 00:01:24 justify killing a whole plane of people to save
00:01:24 --> 00:01:28 my child who is already potentially going to
00:01:28 --> 00:01:32 be a monster i do think it's a bit too dramatic
00:01:32 --> 00:01:35 with needing to light the picture your only picture
00:01:35 --> 00:01:38 of timmy on fire thank you that was my problem
00:01:38 --> 00:01:42 so yeah we hit that emergency stop button and
00:01:42 --> 00:01:44 then we pop out somewhere on the mountain and
00:01:44 --> 00:01:48 we see the plane fly by but then yes he pulls
00:01:48 --> 00:01:53 out the picture of timmy and burns it why I mean,
00:01:53 --> 00:01:56 is this just like a little funeral for him? Like
00:01:56 --> 00:01:59 you could go back and get his body and bury him.
00:01:59 --> 00:02:01 That's something I don't understand, too, is
00:02:01 --> 00:02:04 that if you knew there's no way to survive, why
00:02:04 --> 00:02:07 did you continue to exit the cave? I wonder if
00:02:07 --> 00:02:10 it's if it's possible to go back to grab Timmy's
00:02:10 --> 00:02:12 body. I don't know, because you can I mean, you
00:02:12 --> 00:02:14 can just go through that route again. I'm pretty
00:02:14 --> 00:02:18 sure I've never done that ending. So maybe it
00:02:18 --> 00:02:24 closes off access. But still. Do we know if the
00:02:24 --> 00:02:27 game just cuts straight into end credits, or
00:02:27 --> 00:02:30 do you think that they stay on the island forever
00:02:30 --> 00:02:34 and just die? So I think it probably shows end
00:02:34 --> 00:02:36 credits, but then after that, you're just back
00:02:36 --> 00:02:39 to free roam, continuing to survive on the island
00:02:39 --> 00:02:43 as I did for 100 days. And then here's the ending
00:02:43 --> 00:02:46 I thought existed. So in the survival guide,
00:02:47 --> 00:02:51 there's an SOS signal that you can build. And
00:02:51 --> 00:02:53 when you build it, it apparently triggers a plane
00:02:53 --> 00:02:57 to fly overhead. But as far as I found, no one
00:02:57 --> 00:03:00 has actually been rescued by using it. So I thought
00:03:00 --> 00:03:03 you could actually signal for help and get rescued
00:03:03 --> 00:03:06 and get off the island. Even if you did shoot
00:03:06 --> 00:03:09 the plane down, well, you didn't shoot it, but
00:03:09 --> 00:03:11 if the plane did crash and you saved Timmy, we
00:03:11 --> 00:03:14 still don't see how they escaped the island.
00:03:14 --> 00:03:19 So how? I feel like it's either... You take the
00:03:19 --> 00:03:21 yacht or you signal for help. However you get
00:03:21 --> 00:03:25 off the island that we don't see in the Save
00:03:25 --> 00:03:27 Timmy ending should be how we get off the island
00:03:27 --> 00:03:30 in this case too. Should we just roll into burning
00:03:30 --> 00:03:35 questions on topic two? My first one is the red
00:03:35 --> 00:03:38 paint. Can't get over the red paint. Yeah. I
00:03:38 --> 00:03:40 have a feeling we probably found kind of the
00:03:40 --> 00:03:44 same thing because I just googled it. But it
00:03:44 --> 00:03:46 says that... Putting the red paint on makes the
00:03:46 --> 00:03:48 cannibals act passively. They'll stare, step
00:03:48 --> 00:03:52 back. They say that this is because of a deep
00:03:52 --> 00:03:54 -seated fear response to the color red, which
00:03:54 --> 00:03:57 stems from a backstory of Dr. Matthew Cross,
00:03:57 --> 00:04:01 the red man, who is seen in red paint and is
00:04:01 --> 00:04:04 a figure of fear for the cannibals. The red paint
00:04:04 --> 00:04:07 is how he traveled safely across the island,
00:04:07 --> 00:04:08 which makes sense. You would need a way to deal
00:04:08 --> 00:04:10 with the cannibals. And that makes me think that
00:04:10 --> 00:04:12 they've been here all along, which I'll get into
00:04:12 --> 00:04:16 more. and then they continue to say it can be
00:04:16 --> 00:04:18 deduced that sahara fear conditioned red into
00:04:18 --> 00:04:20 the cannibals making them associate the color
00:04:20 --> 00:04:23 with pain or death or something else unpleasant
00:04:23 --> 00:04:25 or perhaps something pleasant such as rewards
00:04:25 --> 00:04:29 for kneeling instantly if we keep crashing we
00:04:29 --> 00:04:34 if they keep crashing flights and it kills everyone
00:04:34 --> 00:04:38 but the children how are there humans to be tested
00:04:38 --> 00:04:41 on unless the artifact isn't killing the entire
00:04:41 --> 00:04:45 plane and they take any survivors in well that's
00:04:45 --> 00:04:47 why i lean towards the cannibals have always
00:04:47 --> 00:04:50 been here it just seems like a leap to me that
00:04:50 --> 00:04:52 the survivors of these plant the adult survivors
00:04:52 --> 00:04:56 of the plane crashes all turn into these cannibals
00:04:56 --> 00:04:59 that like seem to have their own society and
00:04:59 --> 00:05:02 way of living and i just find that that is hard
00:05:02 --> 00:05:04 to believe and i think that all of the depth
00:05:04 --> 00:05:08 to that society is proof of like a longer running
00:05:08 --> 00:05:11 development of that you know So I don't really
00:05:11 --> 00:05:14 buy that they created the cannibals. I do think
00:05:14 --> 00:05:17 that they tested on them and did the fear therapy,
00:05:17 --> 00:05:21 whatever. I'm not quite also getting the concept
00:05:21 --> 00:05:24 of the cannibals. There's a finite amount of
00:05:24 --> 00:05:27 cannibals on the island. Don't they die? What
00:05:27 --> 00:05:30 happens? Because if they already existed here,
00:05:30 --> 00:05:32 wouldn't some of them have died off? There's
00:05:32 --> 00:05:36 only so many cannibals to eat, right? Well, and
00:05:36 --> 00:05:40 that's another issue I have with this. Where's
00:05:40 --> 00:05:43 their food source coming from? Is it the crashed
00:05:43 --> 00:05:46 planes? I mean, I lived on this island for over
00:05:46 --> 00:05:51 100 days, and I saw no other humans, but I did
00:05:51 --> 00:05:54 see a lot of animals. So I'm like, what leads
00:05:54 --> 00:05:57 these people to be cannibals? Because opportunity
00:05:57 --> 00:06:03 is not knocking to eat human flesh. Well, my
00:06:03 --> 00:06:05 last burning question is just, why does nobody
00:06:05 --> 00:06:08 come to the island? And I couldn't really find
00:06:08 --> 00:06:11 anything on this. It seems like people are not
00:06:11 --> 00:06:14 asking this question. But it remains my biggest
00:06:14 --> 00:06:17 question because I just don't think that there's
00:06:17 --> 00:06:20 any way a corporation of any size can continue
00:06:20 --> 00:06:23 to shoot down what I assume are commercial flights
00:06:23 --> 00:06:28 and avoid detection. or bribe officials to turn
00:06:28 --> 00:06:29 the other way. I'm sorry, that's just not going
00:06:29 --> 00:06:33 to happen. And aren't there any questions about
00:06:33 --> 00:06:35 what this company is doing? Why are they buying
00:06:35 --> 00:06:38 so much red paint? Why do they need all this
00:06:38 --> 00:06:41 equipment? How? And there would be so much pressure
00:06:41 --> 00:06:46 from the families of these lost people. So I
00:06:46 --> 00:06:47 don't know. And I don't know why more people
00:06:47 --> 00:06:49 are asking that question. I think it's maybe
00:06:49 --> 00:06:51 just an oversight in the game where they just
00:06:51 --> 00:06:54 didn't bother explaining it. How does the artifact
00:06:54 --> 00:06:58 ensure those kids that are the targets stay alive
00:06:58 --> 00:07:03 during the plane crash? Maybe the energy wave
00:07:03 --> 00:07:07 that it sends out leads to a gentler crash. You
00:07:07 --> 00:07:09 know what I mean? Yeah. But that also begs the
00:07:09 --> 00:07:11 question, what the hell is this artifact for?
00:07:11 --> 00:07:14 I don't think they built it. I think they found
00:07:14 --> 00:07:18 it. And do you just discover that it can knock
00:07:18 --> 00:07:20 planes out of the sky? I find that hard to believe,
00:07:20 --> 00:07:23 too. That's my question, is just... How did they
00:07:23 --> 00:07:27 figure out how does this artifact work and that
00:07:27 --> 00:07:31 it could revive someone from dying? It makes
00:07:31 --> 00:07:34 no sense how they come to this type of conclusion
00:07:34 --> 00:07:36 that they're going to build an entire facility
00:07:36 --> 00:07:39 around this island and recruit people into doing
00:07:39 --> 00:07:42 this and not get caught. It just doesn't make
00:07:42 --> 00:07:45 sense to me. And that's my biggest issue with
00:07:45 --> 00:07:49 this game. It has a lot of questions. Where it's
00:07:49 --> 00:07:52 like, if it were Outlast... We'd be able to find
00:07:52 --> 00:07:55 the answers if we looked and theorized hard enough.
00:07:55 --> 00:07:59 But in this game, you just can't. And I wish
00:07:59 --> 00:08:01 that we could. And even if it's not like a black
00:08:01 --> 00:08:04 and white answer, we could have enough information
00:08:04 --> 00:08:07 to form our own theories. But there just is so
00:08:07 --> 00:08:10 much information missing. Which is fine. I just
00:08:10 --> 00:08:13 think it would add a lot of depth to the game.
00:08:14 --> 00:08:17 Which I think brings us to our third topic, a
00:08:17 --> 00:08:21 full theory. Yeah. I thought I had a lot of questions.
00:08:21 --> 00:08:23 I'm looking at it. I've moved it all up into
00:08:23 --> 00:08:24 burning questions. So I'm just going to stick
00:08:24 --> 00:08:28 with what I know, which is bullet point listing.
00:08:28 --> 00:08:31 Megan Cross is sick. Matthew Cross then becomes
00:08:31 --> 00:08:34 obsessed with finding a gear. And then he somehow
00:08:34 --> 00:08:37 finds the artifact that either he finds it and
00:08:37 --> 00:08:40 recruits Sahara Therapeutics to do it. Sahara
00:08:40 --> 00:08:43 Therapeutics has the artifact and he somehow
00:08:43 --> 00:08:47 finds out and works for them. Or he creates Sahara
00:08:47 --> 00:08:51 Deserts. what I'm saying Sahara Therapeutics
00:08:51 --> 00:08:54 muscle memory filled in that one for you Sahara
00:08:54 --> 00:09:01 Therapeutics to use their resources to somehow
00:09:01 --> 00:09:04 make the artifact work I'm not quite sure either
00:09:04 --> 00:09:09 way the two become like into a partnership they
00:09:09 --> 00:09:11 crash a lot of planes they kidnap a lot of kids
00:09:11 --> 00:09:15 and humans One of the flights then has us as
00:09:15 --> 00:09:17 the main character and Timmy, and then we know
00:09:17 --> 00:09:22 what goes on since then. Yeah. I don't have a
00:09:22 --> 00:09:24 whole lot either. This is all just what I think,
00:09:24 --> 00:09:27 based off of what I've learned and researched.
00:09:27 --> 00:09:31 So, I think the cannibals were the original inhabitants
00:09:31 --> 00:09:35 of this island. I think missionaries came to
00:09:35 --> 00:09:37 the island to try to make contact with the cannibals,
00:09:37 --> 00:09:39 based on what we see in the caves and the apparent
00:09:39 --> 00:09:44 age of the items we find. I think that the missionaries
00:09:44 --> 00:09:47 and the cannibals both knew about the artifacts
00:09:47 --> 00:09:50 and maybe the powers of the artifacts. Some of
00:09:50 --> 00:09:51 the missionaries were able to leave the island
00:09:51 --> 00:09:56 and others were not. The idea of these artifacts
00:09:56 --> 00:09:59 was leaked, or not leaked, but brought to light
00:09:59 --> 00:10:03 by the missionaries. And not only Dr. Cross learns
00:10:03 --> 00:10:05 about it, but others do as well, which is why
00:10:05 --> 00:10:08 we see the newer backpacking type orange tents
00:10:08 --> 00:10:12 as people came to investigate the myths. Dr.
00:10:12 --> 00:10:15 Cross eventually convinces Sahara to purchase
00:10:15 --> 00:10:17 the island, where they tame the cannibals, build
00:10:17 --> 00:10:20 their facility, locate the artifacts, and begin
00:10:20 --> 00:10:23 testing, blasting down planes all the while.
00:10:23 --> 00:10:26 Yeah. I miss having a game where we can really
00:10:26 --> 00:10:29 theorize about it, kind of like I said, and I
00:10:29 --> 00:10:32 feel like we got real close with this one, but
00:10:32 --> 00:10:34 there's just a little bit missing in terms of,
00:10:34 --> 00:10:38 like, backstory clues. I like it, too, because
00:10:38 --> 00:10:43 it's... something that we can get enough meat
00:10:43 --> 00:10:47 and just some extra where we're like okay i have
00:10:47 --> 00:10:49 questions but it's not enough to distract me
00:10:49 --> 00:10:52 from the main storyline yeah it's a bit better
00:10:52 --> 00:10:56 than having massive plot holes and heavy rain
00:10:56 --> 00:10:59 i agree it's a good game i really enjoy playing
00:10:59 --> 00:11:03 this game a lot are there a few issues sure but
00:11:03 --> 00:11:06 the issues are like they're fine the storyline
00:11:06 --> 00:11:09 is good Anything else on theories or should we
00:11:09 --> 00:11:16 move into KFC? Let's do KFCs. This is a crappy
00:11:16 --> 00:11:19 one, honestly. This is going to be interesting
00:11:19 --> 00:11:22 because there's like nobody in this game. I'm
00:11:22 --> 00:11:25 just going to go right into it. KFC, Kathy's
00:11:25 --> 00:11:27 favorite characters. Let's start with the first
00:11:27 --> 00:11:30 category, which is Stale Biscuit. Again, not
00:11:30 --> 00:11:33 a lot of people. I don't know if you want to
00:11:33 --> 00:11:39 give it a shot. I'm going to guess. to me no
00:11:39 --> 00:11:43 i mean i i could have but i just put the host
00:11:43 --> 00:11:47 at the end of the game i thought you'd hate him
00:11:47 --> 00:11:49 more than being stale so i didn't want to say
00:11:49 --> 00:11:51 him i mean he could have been in the trash category
00:11:51 --> 00:11:54 but the trash was reserved for something else
00:11:54 --> 00:11:57 for trash i think it's quite safe to say icky
00:11:57 --> 00:12:02 babies thank you overflowing with the abundant
00:12:03 --> 00:12:07 amount of icky babies i hate those things so
00:12:07 --> 00:12:10 much and other thing too is the the flesh like
00:12:10 --> 00:12:13 the room full of flesh it's not really like trash
00:12:13 --> 00:12:16 but i just didn't like that no it's pretty gross

00:12:19 --> 00:12:21 little belly button maybe a nipple things you
00:12:21 --> 00:12:24 see in that room are not okay i can't imagine

00:12:46 --> 00:12:50 i remember and so that meant like not medical
00:12:50 --> 00:12:53 school but like medical programs right so i took
00:12:53 --> 00:12:57 health sciences in high school yeah cadavers
00:12:58 --> 00:13:02 do not smell good. And I hung on for a long time.
00:13:02 --> 00:13:04 I even started taking some classes in college
00:13:04 --> 00:13:08 for that. And it wasn't until, I can't say too
00:13:08 --> 00:13:11 much because suits had to come into the hospital
00:13:11 --> 00:13:15 and it was a legal issue that I witnessed. What?
00:13:15 --> 00:13:18 Wait, how did we never go to deep dive about
00:13:18 --> 00:13:23 this in our own spare time? I'll just say a patient
00:13:23 --> 00:13:24 was somewhere where they weren't supposed to
00:13:24 --> 00:13:29 be and had a seizure. And no one noticed. What?
00:13:29 --> 00:13:31 And so it was a whole big thing. And I was just
00:13:31 --> 00:13:34 there for a job shadow. Leah, how did we not
00:13:34 --> 00:13:38 talk about this before? And then, okay, so I
00:13:38 --> 00:13:41 was medical imaging is what I was job shadowing
00:13:41 --> 00:13:43 for. And one of those was like an ultrasound
00:13:43 --> 00:13:46 appointment. And so I kept being in the room
00:13:46 --> 00:13:49 and the person would be like, oh, this is a student.
00:13:49 --> 00:13:51 Can they watch? Blah, blah, blah. But they forgot
00:13:51 --> 00:13:55 to introduce me one of the times. And I'm like.
00:13:55 --> 00:13:58 like it was a big room i'm 12 feet away it's
00:13:58 --> 00:14:00 dark because they have to look at the screen
00:14:00 --> 00:14:03 for the imaging right just sitting in the corner
00:14:03 --> 00:14:06 uncomfortable i don't know what to do i don't
00:14:06 --> 00:14:10 know what to say it's this family like two little
00:14:10 --> 00:14:14 kids mom and dad they're ultrasounding her baby
00:14:14 --> 00:14:18 tummy and then like in the middle of it the dad
00:14:18 --> 00:14:22 looks up at me like looks looks around at the
00:14:25 --> 00:14:30 at the technician and is like, who's that? And
00:14:30 --> 00:14:35 I'm just like, god damn it. I f***ing hate my
00:14:35 --> 00:14:37 life. And it was Halloween and I just wanted
00:14:37 --> 00:14:41 to go home and eat candy and change my major.
00:14:41 --> 00:14:44 I'm crying. Oh my goodness, Leah. Literally crying.
00:14:44 --> 00:14:48 This children is why you go to community college
00:14:48 --> 00:14:52 first. Thank god I went to community college.
00:14:53 --> 00:14:56 Imagine your eyes and your teeth are glowing

00:15:00 --> 00:15:04 my god. That was the most uncomfortable thing

00:15:38 --> 00:15:41 where why does he need to explore more and reopen
00:15:41 --> 00:15:45 Pandora's box? So I'm going to be very strategic
00:15:45 --> 00:15:47 about who I choose and it's going to be Jessica
00:15:47 --> 00:15:51 Cross which is Megan Cross's mom because she
00:15:51 --> 00:15:54 filed a restraining order against Matthew Cross
00:15:54 --> 00:15:57 and I feel like that's the only sensible woman
00:15:57 --> 00:16:03 in this game or human my favorite character is
00:16:03 --> 00:16:11 oh my god I was not expecting that oh my god
00:16:11 --> 00:16:14 my favorite character is whichever mutant or
00:16:14 --> 00:16:18 cannibal makes that laugh noise I'm speechless.

00:16:25 --> 00:16:30 appealing. I'm going to use my no one pass this

00:17:07 --> 00:17:13 which is the greatest picture I have ever provided.

00:17:17 --> 00:17:20 of all, what the f*** is wrong with the middle
00:17:20 --> 00:17:23 dude? Why is he all red and looking like those
00:17:23 --> 00:17:25 human muscle models in our health class? Like,
