100th Episode Special 🎮🎙️

00:00:01 --> 00:00:03 Thank you for coming back from our replay reviews.
00:00:03 --> 00:00:06 My name is Leah. And my name is Kathy. We are
00:00:06 --> 00:00:08 two friends who are here to replay, review, and
00:00:08 --> 00:00:11 analyze your favorite video games. And since
00:00:11 --> 00:00:13 Kathy has never seen the games before, it helps
00:00:13 --> 00:00:15 me view them through her fresh eyes, almost like
00:00:15 --> 00:00:17 I'm discovering them again for the first time.
00:00:17 --> 00:00:19 We hope it will be a similar experience for you.
00:00:26 --> 00:00:30 Who would have thought we would get 100 episodes?
00:00:30 --> 00:00:34 It's crazy. I just remember, I mean, this started
00:00:34 --> 00:00:37 because I had nobody to talk to about Yakuza
00:00:37 --> 00:00:40 0. And I was like, Kathy, watch this with me,
00:00:40 --> 00:00:43 please. We do so much of a deep dive and you're
00:00:43 --> 00:00:46 like, we need to document this somehow and record
00:00:46 --> 00:00:50 it. Even if it was just for us. Right? But no,
00:00:50 --> 00:00:54 here we are. We're here five years later. Yes.
00:00:55 --> 00:00:59 I'm so excited to celebrate this. A summary of
00:00:59 --> 00:01:02 five years of our favorite moments, top things.
00:01:02 --> 00:01:06 We have so many good juicy bits and segments.
00:01:06 --> 00:01:09 Well, we usually do an out of con... Did my voice
00:01:09 --> 00:01:13 crack? Oh no, the voice cracking! As I was trying
00:01:13 --> 00:01:15 to say. We usually do an out of context summary,
00:01:15 --> 00:01:18 but there's not much to summarize because I don't
00:01:18 --> 00:01:20 know what we're going to end up saying. Instead,
00:01:20 --> 00:01:23 please enjoy this compilation of our favorite
00:01:23 --> 00:01:28 out of context quotes from our podcast. Do we
00:01:28 --> 00:01:32 need to pretend to jerk it at her? I think someone
00:01:32 --> 00:01:34 needs to just chop his dick off. There's just
00:01:34 --> 00:01:38 boobs in my face. I am immediately molested upon
00:01:38 --> 00:01:41 entry. Opportunity is not knocking to eat human
00:01:41 --> 00:01:44 flesh. You're pretty much calling your dog a
00:01:44 --> 00:01:47 whore. We need a male perspective. We do. Does
00:01:47 --> 00:01:49 it hurt extra if you get kneed in the junk when
00:01:49 --> 00:01:53 you're erect, or is it the same? Like a stupid
00:01:53 --> 00:01:58 little acrobat. That one was... A hair from a
00:01:58 --> 00:02:02 peepee. It doesn't stop there. He targets the
00:02:02 --> 00:02:09 peen again, Kathy. So, prostitute? Is she one?
00:02:09 --> 00:02:13 Get the colonel situated. Because he's going
00:02:13 --> 00:02:16 to have some company. And if not, Leah's going
00:02:16 --> 00:02:19 to go Tonya Harding on you, so prepare for your
00:02:19 --> 00:02:23 kneecaps. Did you know she ate in our Denny's?
00:02:23 --> 00:02:25 I don't know why I was squeezing my cheeks like
00:02:25 --> 00:02:28 that. I think the writer was going through something
00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 when he wrote this game. A divorce? I need Cosimo
00:02:31 --> 00:02:35 to tell me his plan. Just four grown men piggybacking?
00:02:36 --> 00:02:40 Let me finish this piece of green. Visually ass.
00:02:40 --> 00:02:44 Metaphorically ass. Verbally ass. I don't know
00:02:44 --> 00:02:50 how many more ways I can say it. Peaches. She
00:02:50 --> 00:02:54 was a loan shark debt collector. And she got
00:02:54 --> 00:02:59 away with a lot because she was British. Our
00:02:59 --> 00:03:03 first topic is favorite moments. All time favorite.
00:03:04 --> 00:03:07 One that made me feel like we finally transcended
00:03:07 --> 00:03:10 our amateur podcasting was in Outlast Part 4
00:03:10 --> 00:03:14 when we could not stop laughing because I said
00:03:14 --> 00:03:17 something about massive in size. The context
00:03:17 --> 00:03:21 of it, it is so funny. I remember listening to
00:03:21 --> 00:03:22 this on the airplane and just laughing and I'm
00:03:22 --> 00:03:25 like, we're funny. But also I remember recording
00:03:25 --> 00:03:27 that moment and we could not keep it together.
00:03:27 --> 00:03:29 Okay, first of all, one of my favorite moments
00:03:29 --> 00:03:32 as well, but it's the, because it's so, I think
00:03:32 --> 00:03:34 you mentioned before Chris Walker, you mentioned
00:03:34 --> 00:03:38 the SDWDOs, which it's in the name, Scary Dudes
00:03:38 --> 00:03:40 with Dongs Out. Yeah. They've got schlongage.
00:03:40 --> 00:03:43 They've got plenty to share. The point is, you
00:03:43 --> 00:03:47 made my mind go there, and then you went, they're
00:03:47 --> 00:03:51 massive in size, and you expected me to not erupt
00:03:51 --> 00:03:55 in laughter at that? Why would you do that to
00:03:55 --> 00:03:58 me? I don't remember. recording and trying to
00:03:58 --> 00:04:01 get through it and i'm just staring at you and
00:04:01 --> 00:04:04 your face you could not keep it together and
00:04:04 --> 00:04:07 i think that's just the memory of that but the
00:04:07 --> 00:04:10 context of what was happening so good one of
00:04:10 --> 00:04:14 my favorite moments so i guess i'll go to one
00:04:14 --> 00:04:17 of my top of the list ones is way back season
00:04:17 --> 00:04:19 one it's now archived but you can still find
00:04:19 --> 00:04:23 on youtube episode three it's the og i can't
00:04:23 --> 00:04:26 find the word Where I couldn't find the word.
00:04:27 --> 00:04:30 I think it was like responsibility or some stupid
00:04:30 --> 00:04:32 word. I don't remember what it was. But you were
00:04:32 --> 00:04:34 trying so hard to help me. And we couldn't find
00:04:34 --> 00:04:37 it. And I had the classic line. I need to find
00:04:37 --> 00:04:41 this word or I'm going to have diarrhea. Which
00:04:41 --> 00:04:44 has spawned. That's just a classic for us now
00:04:44 --> 00:04:47 that we reference all the time. It's now an inside
00:04:47 --> 00:04:53 joke that we say it off the mic. One of my favorites,
00:04:53 --> 00:04:56 Wolf Among Us Episode 4. When we realized, stop
00:04:56 --> 00:05:01 laughing at me, we heard Toe Jr. say that when
00:05:01 --> 00:05:03 he witnessed the body dumping, he heard someone
00:05:03 --> 00:05:05 say, stop laughing at me. And then in episode
00:05:05 --> 00:05:08 four, we listened through the door and we heard
00:05:08 --> 00:05:12 Georgie saying, stop laughing at me. That blew
00:05:12 --> 00:05:14 my mind because I hadn't heard that before. And
00:05:14 --> 00:05:16 then just the whole, our final theory on that
00:05:16 --> 00:05:18 game. I think that's the closest, I mean, that
00:05:18 --> 00:05:21 I've come to understanding that game. That's
00:05:21 --> 00:05:25 a bit of my favorite is... Being able to work
00:05:25 --> 00:05:27 together to come with a conclusion. Because this
00:05:27 --> 00:05:33 is one of the games where it is the most derisible
00:05:33 --> 00:05:38 games. And so I really liked it. My next moment
00:05:38 --> 00:05:44 is, it's a two -parter. So Yakuza Kiwami 1. And
00:05:44 --> 00:05:47 I know it's in Chapter 7. I couldn't find which
00:05:47 --> 00:05:50 one within our game. But it is Gideon slapping
00:05:50 --> 00:05:53 Haruka. And I just remember gasping when watching
00:05:53 --> 00:05:57 the game. And then later, Nishiki slapping Reina.
00:05:58 --> 00:06:02 And then I'm like, I could not believe slapping
00:06:02 --> 00:06:05 happening in that game. How dare he hit a woman?
00:06:05 --> 00:06:08 I just remember you saying that. She's a child.
00:06:09 --> 00:06:11 Yeah. Oh, I was on pins and needles waiting for
00:06:11 --> 00:06:15 you to witness that. I have a really random little
00:06:15 --> 00:06:16 quick one that I'm just going to play the audio
00:06:16 --> 00:06:20 for you. I'm going to try to take a sip of this
00:06:20 --> 00:06:22 tea, but I might burn my whole mouth. I burned
00:06:22 --> 00:06:28 my tongue this morning today. I sounded like
00:06:28 --> 00:06:36 Toad. I remember that. We were pretty goofy and
00:06:36 --> 00:06:38 I really appreciated how authentic we are. But
00:06:38 --> 00:06:42 also our logo really aligned with our vibes in
00:06:42 --> 00:06:44 the earlier season. Just the playfulness and
00:06:44 --> 00:06:47 the bright color. I mean, I like our serious.
00:06:47 --> 00:06:50 and the depth that we bring to the analysis,
00:06:50 --> 00:06:53 but I want some of that goofiness back too. It's
00:06:53 --> 00:06:56 fun. I'll just go straight to my fourth favorite
00:06:56 --> 00:07:01 moment. Yes. You going, knock them down. But
00:07:01 --> 00:07:04 there's something about your pitch and your tone
00:07:04 --> 00:07:08 and just the irritation. It comes through so
00:07:08 --> 00:07:13 well. Knock them down? Yeah. It's just the little
00:07:13 --> 00:07:16 kid. You think you know what you're doing and
00:07:16 --> 00:07:18 you're being a good person, but you really just
00:07:18 --> 00:07:19 don't know what the f*** you're talking about
00:07:19 --> 00:07:24 and it pisses me off. See, all that emotion is
00:07:24 --> 00:07:29 bubbled into three words. Okay, I have another
00:07:29 --> 00:07:32 one. I have to share my screen again. Okay. It's
00:07:32 --> 00:07:35 in Heavy Rain Part 3, 19 minutes, 41 seconds.
00:07:36 --> 00:07:39 Sorry, I was going to say something gross. Oh,
00:07:39 --> 00:07:40 no, say it. Should I say it anyway? Okay. Yeah,
00:07:40 --> 00:07:42 say it. I probably took it to sniff the sea.
00:07:43 --> 00:07:48 oh god Leah I told you it was gross you can't
00:07:48 --> 00:07:51 tell me he wouldn't do that though it's so in
00:07:51 --> 00:07:54 line with his character though and he makes some
00:07:54 --> 00:07:59 slow comment about it which is not going to start
00:07:59 --> 00:08:02 brainstorming any ideas but yes I'm not surprised
00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 if he did that I can't think of the voice she
00:08:05 --> 00:08:19 had this what what She had a sweet... Madison
00:08:19 --> 00:08:28 Page. She had a sweet fanny all over the seat.
00:08:28 --> 00:08:38 Oh my gosh. And that... Just her character. Everything
00:08:38 --> 00:08:41 about her, it is... A highlight in the way that
00:08:41 --> 00:08:46 we were, at least I was, so hateful towards her.
00:08:46 --> 00:08:49 That is another moment. Didn't make it into top
00:08:49 --> 00:08:53 five, but just raging against her. She is a legend
00:08:53 --> 00:08:59 in this podcast. I have two more that didn't
00:08:59 --> 00:09:01 make it into my top five. When we go completely
00:09:01 --> 00:09:05 off tangent about Tonya Harding. How has Tonya
00:09:05 --> 00:09:08 Harding and Denny's. Come up twice. Yes. On the
00:09:08 --> 00:09:15 podcast. Absurd. Yes. Unreasonable. Mine are
00:09:15 --> 00:09:18 not in a particular order. Going back to Heavy
00:09:18 --> 00:09:19 Rain real quick. I think this is my last Heavy
00:09:19 --> 00:09:24 Rain one. Is when you picked. Oh my God. Gordie
00:09:24 --> 00:09:28 Kramer. I didn't know. And I shriek. You didn't
00:09:28 --> 00:09:33 pick Norma Jaden? In utter disbelief. Quite embarrassed
00:09:33 --> 00:09:37 about that one. But a tangent moment. to that
00:09:37 --> 00:09:40 was then I called him pale and you said it's
00:09:40 --> 00:09:43 not pale, it's pasty and you took offense to
00:09:43 --> 00:09:47 it. No, no, no. Not pasty. See, you have learned
00:09:47 --> 00:09:51 nothing. Porcelain. Porcelain, that's what it
00:09:51 --> 00:09:57 is. I didn't learn. I'm sorry. I'm going to jump
00:09:57 --> 00:10:00 back to my fifth top five moment and it's probably
00:10:00 --> 00:10:03 one you have but it's in Detroit Become Human
00:10:03 --> 00:10:06 and I didn't realize that there's origami on
00:10:06 --> 00:10:09 the bookshelf, but then I also didn't realize
00:10:09 --> 00:10:12 what you did in the editing until I saw the video
00:10:12 --> 00:10:14 of it. And then I'm like, oh, I was distracted
00:10:14 --> 00:10:17 or something. And then you zoom in on Marcus's
00:10:17 --> 00:10:21 butt. That might be my favorite edit of all time.
00:10:22 --> 00:10:26 And it caught me so off guard too. Oh my gosh.
00:10:26 --> 00:10:28 I know. I didn't warn you. I'm just like, you're
00:10:28 --> 00:10:32 going to love this episode. Okay. One more favorite
00:10:32 --> 00:10:35 moment. That's also. a little bit more storyline
00:10:35 --> 00:10:39 adjacent related, is when we realized how shit
00:10:39 --> 00:10:43 Kazuma is. What a bitch that guy is. I didn't
00:10:43 --> 00:10:47 think he would annoy me and piss me off as much
00:10:47 --> 00:10:49 as it did when I first saw his character because
00:10:49 --> 00:10:52 we start from Y -Zero. We watched it. We're like,
00:10:52 --> 00:10:56 yeah, he kind of sucks. We watch Kiwami 1 and
00:10:56 --> 00:10:58 we're like, I really don't like him. And we think
00:10:58 --> 00:11:01 he's dead. And then Kiwami 2 happens and we're
00:11:01 --> 00:11:04 like, what is he still doing why is he still
00:11:04 --> 00:11:07 here why is he pisses me off okay and this led
00:11:07 --> 00:11:10 us to have the question is there anyone worse
00:11:10 --> 00:11:13 so because of that we decided to do a villain's
00:11:13 --> 00:11:17 bracket where we put all of our most hated the
00:11:17 --> 00:11:21 most villainous characters into a bracket randomized
00:11:21 --> 00:11:25 it and then we each selected our our favorite
00:11:25 --> 00:11:28 should we reveal to each other what we've picked
00:11:28 --> 00:11:32 yes So we only have one difference in the final
00:11:32 --> 00:11:36 four, right? Mm -hmm. Jingu versus Murkoff. Yes.
00:11:36 --> 00:11:38 All right, let's see who's in our final two.
00:11:39 --> 00:11:45 Was it Kazuma, Cathy? Yeah, Kazuma. Same. Okay.
00:11:45 --> 00:11:49 And then I put Murkoff, so this is where we're
00:11:49 --> 00:11:53 different. Yeah. Who did you put? I did Father
00:11:53 --> 00:11:58 Loudermilch, so both Outlast. And then ultimately...
00:11:58 --> 00:12:03 Ultimate. Three, two, one. Merk off. Kazuma.
00:12:05 --> 00:12:07 I'd be okay with Kazuma because he's in my top
00:12:07 --> 00:12:12 two, but I put Merk off. I am totally okay with
00:12:12 --> 00:12:15 Merk off. I think the difference for me would
00:12:15 --> 00:12:18 be that Merk off is less personal, which is why
00:12:18 --> 00:12:21 I hate Kazuma. He does this to people that he's
00:12:21 --> 00:12:24 supposed to care about, but I think Merk off
00:12:24 --> 00:12:28 is a fantastic villain in terms of enjoyability.
00:12:28 --> 00:12:32 I agree. And part of my rationalization that
00:12:32 --> 00:12:36 I went through is the overall damage of how long
00:12:36 --> 00:12:38 it would last. Murkoff is going to have lasting
00:12:38 --> 00:12:42 kind of damage environmentally to people there,
00:12:42 --> 00:12:46 to their kids. And if the wall rider and all
00:12:46 --> 00:12:48 that stuff starts going out of this area, it
00:12:48 --> 00:12:52 could be a global issue. And so I chose Murkoff
00:12:52 --> 00:12:54 because of the scale of potential damage that
00:12:54 --> 00:12:56 could happen. It makes me want another Outlast
00:12:56 --> 00:13:00 game. Which, speaking of, I have theory changes
00:13:00 --> 00:13:04 and release notes. I have an Outlast note. Okay.
00:13:04 --> 00:13:07 So should we jump to topic four? Mm -hmm. We
00:13:07 --> 00:13:09 had a question. It was one of our burning questions
00:13:09 --> 00:13:12 in the Outlast summary is, what happened to Wernicke?
00:13:12 --> 00:13:15 And I'm like, still, what did happen to him,
00:13:15 --> 00:13:19 honestly? From the Outlast wiki, it says, despite
00:13:19 --> 00:13:21 the preceding events, it is never made clear
00:13:21 --> 00:13:24 if Wernicke was targeted or killed by the Wallrider.
00:13:24 --> 00:13:26 Although, given the creature's nature, It can
00:13:26 --> 00:13:29 be assumed that Rudolph met his end at the hands
00:13:29 --> 00:13:32 of the ghostly entity. I think that's what the
00:13:32 --> 00:13:34 game wants you to think, if I'm being honest.
00:13:34 --> 00:13:37 I don't think he's dead. We know Billy Hope was
00:13:37 --> 00:13:39 keeping him alive. I feel like the possibility
00:13:39 --> 00:13:42 is there that Billy and the wallrider sort of
00:13:42 --> 00:13:44 became one when he died. Like, they were so ingrained
00:13:44 --> 00:13:46 that, like, Billy just, when he died, his body
00:13:46 --> 00:13:49 quit, but his consciousness was still in the
00:13:49 --> 00:13:52 wallrider. And then he also possessed Miles.
00:13:53 --> 00:13:55 theoretically if that's a possibility then the
00:13:55 --> 00:13:58 wall writer slash billy could still be keeping
00:13:58 --> 00:14:01 him alive there's still a little bit of sentimentality
00:14:01 --> 00:14:04 there there is one conversation about this in
00:14:04 --> 00:14:06 reddit and i didn't write the person's name so
00:14:06 --> 00:14:09 sorry but someone said that the comics which
00:14:09 --> 00:14:12 we read confirms that the wall writer hosts billy
00:14:12 --> 00:14:17 and miles so he could have kept him alive Maybe
00:14:17 --> 00:14:20 there's more to it that all the black speckles,
00:14:20 --> 00:14:23 maybe that is some kind of substance and it's
00:14:23 --> 00:14:26 not just what you see, but maybe it's a bunch
00:14:26 --> 00:14:29 of atoms or something that holds a spirit and
00:14:29 --> 00:14:32 maybe Wernicke's out there and they just need
00:14:32 --> 00:14:35 to compile all these broken pieces of his spirit.
00:14:36 --> 00:14:39 What you're kind of describing is what's making
00:14:39 --> 00:14:42 me wonder, like, the wallrider is Billy Hope.
00:14:42 --> 00:14:44 And there's only one wallrider, but it can affect
00:14:44 --> 00:14:47 other people or infect other people like Miles,
00:14:48 --> 00:14:52 like Blake. So maybe the wallrider is like a
00:14:52 --> 00:14:54 swarm. And that's the swarm that they're talking
00:14:54 --> 00:14:57 about in Outlast 1. I really think the swarm
00:14:57 --> 00:14:59 is just people infected by the wallrider. And
00:14:59 --> 00:15:06 they're all controlled by Billy Hope. So Yakuza.
00:15:06 --> 00:15:10 Just a little detail at the depth of Yakuza 0,
00:15:10 --> 00:15:13 which is by far the... deepest game in the series
00:15:13 --> 00:15:15 in my opinion you remember at the end of the
00:15:15 --> 00:15:19 game when majima is sent to like deal with shimano
00:15:19 --> 00:15:21 because he was dealing with the omi he's supposed
00:15:21 --> 00:15:24 to kill him or whatever he says i'm a family
00:15:24 --> 00:15:26 man and gives him a chance and then shimano ends
00:15:26 --> 00:15:30 up shooting the omi guy it shows how smart majima
00:15:30 --> 00:15:33 is because he's not just talking about himself
00:15:33 --> 00:15:36 when he says i'm a family man he's also asking
00:15:36 --> 00:15:40 shimano what he's loyal to Like, Shimano, are
00:15:40 --> 00:15:43 you a family man or are you selling out to the
00:15:43 --> 00:15:46 Omi? Because if you're not choosing the family
00:15:46 --> 00:15:51 over the Omi, I am, which means I kill you. Okay,
00:15:51 --> 00:15:54 I like that. I never caught that. Totally is
00:15:54 --> 00:15:58 in line with how devious this character is. That
00:15:58 --> 00:16:01 scene has always confused me a little bit because
00:16:01 --> 00:16:03 I feel like there's just so many layers to what
00:16:03 --> 00:16:07 Majima's saying. Man, I knew... Why Sierra was
00:16:07 --> 00:16:10 good, for a reason. But this just takes it to
00:16:10 --> 00:16:12 a whole new level. The writing, I feel like they
00:16:12 --> 00:16:15 took such care with it that you can still, if
00:16:15 --> 00:16:17 I watch it again, I'm going to pick up new things.
00:16:19 --> 00:16:22 Next is Detroit Become Human. We talked about
00:16:22 --> 00:16:24 this briefly because we listened to this, re
00:16:24 --> 00:16:26 -listened to this episode together. But the RA9
00:16:26 --> 00:16:30 question. We both have independently noticed
00:16:30 --> 00:16:34 how similar Ari from Heavy Rain and RA9 are in
00:16:34 --> 00:16:41 sound. Could Norman Jaden be RA9? We see in Heavy
00:16:41 --> 00:16:44 Rain reality in Ari blurring for Jaden, right?
00:16:44 --> 00:16:47 Who knows how far that could go? If he spends
00:16:47 --> 00:16:50 too much time, maybe his consciousness would
00:16:50 --> 00:16:54 be ported into Ari. So he's like stuck in Ari.
00:16:55 --> 00:16:58 Like maybe he's dead in real life, but his kind
00:16:58 --> 00:17:00 of like the wall rider, right? But he's in Ari.
00:17:00 --> 00:17:04 And then in Detroit. the interrogation android
00:17:04 --> 00:17:07 the one we're interrogating he says he gives
00:17:07 --> 00:17:10 a gender to re9 he says he i want to build on
00:17:10 --> 00:17:14 it which detroit become human we see that there
00:17:14 --> 00:17:18 are certain people like amanda where she is no
00:17:18 --> 00:17:20 longer alive but she becomes like a cpu type
00:17:20 --> 00:17:23 of thing so depending on timing and this seems
00:17:23 --> 00:17:26 to be more forward in the future compared to
00:17:26 --> 00:17:30 heavy rain what if Jaden has already died, but
00:17:30 --> 00:17:33 he was such an incredible detective that they
00:17:33 --> 00:17:37 decided to keep him and his tools and then morph
00:17:37 --> 00:17:41 it into RE9. Like that the tools of him and Ari
00:17:41 --> 00:17:46 combined become RE9. I don't think that the FBI
00:17:46 --> 00:17:49 would just abandon that technology. I think they
00:17:49 --> 00:17:53 would continue to progress it. Maybe Kamsky obtained
00:17:53 --> 00:17:57 that software or used that software in his androids.
00:17:57 --> 00:18:01 So my theory is that Jaden became Ari. And as
00:18:01 --> 00:18:04 we discussed, as the software developed, it was
00:18:04 --> 00:18:07 eventually used by Kamsky and his androids. And
00:18:07 --> 00:18:09 Jaden, now Ari, is hellbent on finding a way
00:18:09 --> 00:18:13 out, which would translate to deviancy. He still
00:18:13 --> 00:18:15 knows what it is to be human. He just doesn't
00:18:15 --> 00:18:19 have a body. And so when androids come into existence,
00:18:19 --> 00:18:23 he can give the androids through Ari. He's Ari9.
00:18:24 --> 00:18:27 He can give them emotions. He can be human again.
00:18:27 --> 00:18:30 He can make his escape. He can break free from
00:18:30 --> 00:18:32 Ari and live in the real world again. And I think
00:18:32 --> 00:18:34 Kamsky would just be watching this happen and
00:18:34 --> 00:18:36 believe he's truly created a new form of life.
00:18:37 --> 00:18:40 I can see that. I mean, I still like our other
00:18:40 --> 00:18:43 theories about what Ari 9 is, but this is my
00:18:43 --> 00:18:45 favorite. I really want to see Norm and Jaden.
00:18:47 --> 00:18:50 Okay, one more red dead note, and then I'm done
00:18:50 --> 00:18:53 with topic four. Okay. It's about this strange
00:18:53 --> 00:18:56 man. Which actually is one of my favorite moments,
00:18:56 --> 00:18:57 if we can jump back to that real quick. Just
00:18:57 --> 00:19:00 our summary discussion about John's redemption
00:19:00 --> 00:19:03 arc and the strange man. I loved that. That was
00:19:03 --> 00:19:08 a great conversation. Also, when I dunked DeSanta
00:19:08 --> 00:19:12 to the trash. Oh, my gosh. And then you sang
00:19:12 --> 00:19:15 one of my favorite ones when Alende was going
00:19:15 --> 00:19:18 to the trash. You couldn't get the words out.
00:19:18 --> 00:19:24 He forced himself in the women. And then I was
00:19:24 --> 00:19:26 like, you know what? I'll just call it what it
00:19:26 --> 00:19:30 is. He raped them. I loved it. Oh, my gosh. So
00:19:30 --> 00:19:32 funny. An absurd thing to be laughing about,
00:19:32 --> 00:19:36 but it was funny. You also, another one of my
00:19:36 --> 00:19:40 favorite moments was recently. What game was
00:19:40 --> 00:19:42 it? About the kids, and you shouldn't be laughing,
00:19:42 --> 00:19:46 but you kept laughing. In the wheelchair. Oh,
00:19:46 --> 00:19:49 my God. In the forest, and the little kid, and
00:19:49 --> 00:19:51 the arms you break out, and the little kid helpless
00:19:51 --> 00:19:54 in the wheelchair just looking up. And then you
00:19:54 --> 00:19:56 see it get knocked over in the aftermath. Oh,
00:19:56 --> 00:19:58 so hilarious to me. And he just kept laughing
00:19:58 --> 00:20:01 at it. It shouldn't be funny, but it's really
00:20:01 --> 00:20:04 hilarious. Oh, my gosh. Anyway, back to what
00:20:04 --> 00:20:07 I was saying about the strange man. So one of
00:20:07 --> 00:20:09 the, I think one of the co -founders of Rockstar's
00:20:09 --> 00:20:13 name is Dan Houser. He was quoted very recently
00:20:13 --> 00:20:16 in an interview about the strange man telling
00:20:16 --> 00:20:19 us what it is. And I don't know if you can tell
00:20:19 --> 00:20:22 by my expression that I'm disappointed. But he
00:20:22 --> 00:20:25 said. The strange man was meant to be a manifestation
00:20:25 --> 00:20:30 of your shadow, your karma, the devil. This isn't
00:20:30 --> 00:20:33 Hollywood. We don't need that kind of devil on
00:20:33 --> 00:20:36 our shoulder. I like our theory more. He left
00:20:36 --> 00:20:39 it very vague. It doesn't make sense because
00:20:39 --> 00:20:42 your shadow and your manifestation wouldn't force
00:20:42 --> 00:20:46 you to choose, be like, go save that nun. Well,
00:20:46 --> 00:20:49 right, because how would he know that things
00:20:49 --> 00:20:51 are happening where they're happening? It obviously
00:20:51 --> 00:20:54 has its own consciousness. I think what would
00:20:54 --> 00:20:57 confirm our theory is if we see the strange man,
00:20:57 --> 00:21:00 say that the next game is going to be Jack or
00:21:00 --> 00:21:02 whoever character, if we see him again, and it
00:21:02 --> 00:21:05 follows various people and not just John, then
00:21:05 --> 00:21:08 I could say that that's not a manifestation because
00:21:08 --> 00:21:10 he would probably show up in a different form.
00:21:10 --> 00:21:13 I'll give you a hint. Okay. He's referenced in
00:21:13 --> 00:21:20 another game. Oh. Okay. Okay, so there's a couple
00:21:20 --> 00:21:23 things we tracked. One of them was when my voice
00:21:23 --> 00:21:26 cracks because, as you know, that happens frequently.
00:21:26 --> 00:21:29 Yes. And there's some good ones. And we each
00:21:29 --> 00:21:32 picked our top five. What is your first one?
00:21:32 --> 00:21:36 Season four, episode 12, Mafia, the summary.
00:21:36 --> 00:21:41 And my timestamp is 2338. But anyway, thank you
00:21:41 --> 00:21:45 for... There was a voice crack. Yeah, that is
00:21:45 --> 00:21:48 one of mine. Alright, what's your next one? My
00:21:48 --> 00:21:52 next one is Season 1, Episode 17, Outlast Part
00:21:52 --> 00:21:55 1. So we don't really know what that means. There's
00:21:55 --> 00:21:58 also mention of some sort of hormone treatment.
00:21:59 --> 00:22:02 No, but it was between that one and one other
00:22:02 --> 00:22:05 one. Okay. So let me show you the one I picked.
00:22:06 --> 00:22:09 If we can go back again to the exit interview
00:22:09 --> 00:22:11 video with Warnicke and his quote about having
00:22:11 --> 00:22:16 to witness enough horror. That was another one.
00:22:16 --> 00:22:19 I had that one. Whore. Yeah. That was. It sounds
00:22:19 --> 00:22:23 like I say whore. Wernicke was a whore. Okay.
00:22:24 --> 00:22:25 So we had two the same. What's your next one?
00:22:26 --> 00:22:29 Heavy rain. Oh, this is one of my favorites.
00:22:29 --> 00:22:33 So this one is season two, episode two. And then
00:22:33 --> 00:22:36 by the end of the interview slash interrogation,
00:22:36 --> 00:22:45 did you hear that voice crack? I didn't. It was
00:22:45 --> 00:22:47 on my list, but it didn't make it top five. Okay.
00:22:48 --> 00:22:51 How many do you have left? I have two more. Okay.
00:22:51 --> 00:22:53 We'll see if there's any more. I still have three
00:22:53 --> 00:22:58 that you haven't. Okay. This one is Detroit Become
00:22:58 --> 00:23:02 Human. So season three, episode 11. In this episode,
00:23:03 --> 00:23:06 we almost murder somebody over a mitten. I have
00:23:06 --> 00:23:08 to restart that because my voice cracked so hard.
00:23:09 --> 00:23:15 I was going to say, let's keep it. So hard. somebody
00:23:15 --> 00:23:18 and then not me saying we need to redo that yeah
00:23:18 --> 00:23:21 that that was number three on my list okay gotcha
00:23:21 --> 00:23:24 it's not just the crack it's the way that i couldn't
00:23:24 --> 00:23:27 make it stop like it ran away from me and it
00:23:27 --> 00:23:31 couldn't get it to quit final one season three
00:23:31 --> 00:23:36 episode 20 yakuza kiwami 2 part 3 and they appear
00:23:36 --> 00:23:41 to be being led by hayashi from kiwami 1 It's
00:23:41 --> 00:23:44 a subtle one. It is a subtle one. But I remember
00:23:44 --> 00:23:49 hearing this and being like, what was that? That
00:23:49 --> 00:23:55 was not on my list. So I have two left. Here's
00:23:55 --> 00:23:59 my second favorite voice crack. We'll find out
00:23:59 --> 00:24:02 who the killer is, but we'll find out why. There
00:24:02 --> 00:24:05 might still be some mysteries. My voice cracked.
00:24:07 --> 00:24:11 I had this one. I think it was probably top 10,
00:24:11 --> 00:24:14 but I didn't make it up. Okay, and my all -time
00:24:14 --> 00:24:17 favorite. I can't believe this is not on your
00:24:17 --> 00:24:21 list. How is Haruka going to three different
00:24:21 --> 00:24:23 bars within one day? She's not even like 10 years
00:24:23 --> 00:24:31 old. That's a good question. What? I had that.
00:24:34 --> 00:24:39 Top 10. I had that in my top ten. Oh my gosh.
00:24:41 --> 00:24:43 This is the joy of being able to laugh at yourself.
00:24:44 --> 00:24:46 Oh my gosh. That was way more entertaining than
00:24:46 --> 00:24:48 I thought it was going to be. Right? The voice
00:24:48 --> 00:24:51 cracks themselves belong into one of our favorite
00:24:51 --> 00:24:56 moments, like a high -level overview. Which,
00:24:56 --> 00:24:58 speaking of, should we go back? Speaking of favorite
00:24:58 --> 00:25:01 moments, I have a few quick ones. Let me just
00:25:01 --> 00:25:03 run through all my Red Dead ones. I had ones
00:25:03 --> 00:25:05 from part one, part two, part three, and part
00:25:05 --> 00:25:09 five. Part one at 2540, I love when you say,
00:25:09 --> 00:25:11 hold on, I've got a piece of bean. Oh my god,
00:25:11 --> 00:25:15 yes! And I was like, excuse me, what the hell?
00:25:16 --> 00:25:20 Sorry, what is a piece of bean? And it was an
00:25:20 --> 00:25:22 espresso -covered coffee bean, which, as we discussed,
00:25:23 --> 00:25:26 is the absolute only way that piece of bean ever
00:25:26 --> 00:25:30 makes sense. Also from part two, the butt scratcher.
00:25:31 --> 00:25:34 Noticing that guy digging in his ass. And the
00:25:34 --> 00:25:38 chaos that ensued in that conversation. Also,
00:25:38 --> 00:25:40 the Mexican standoff thing, where you're like,
00:25:40 --> 00:25:43 is this a Mexican standoff? I'm like, wait! Wait,
00:25:43 --> 00:25:47 that's the joke! And then, didn't Abraham also
00:25:47 --> 00:25:51 fall off on his horse in that part? Yes, Reyes
00:25:51 --> 00:25:54 falling, and the brief almost T -pose, and then
00:25:54 --> 00:25:57 running behind trying to get to the horse. Gold.
00:25:58 --> 00:26:02 A more recent one I had is... last week's episode
00:26:02 --> 00:26:07 where i did my accidental finger guns oh my gosh
00:26:07 --> 00:26:10 i still can't believe you did finger guns to
00:26:10 --> 00:26:13 me from a that's what she said joke but that
00:26:13 --> 00:26:17 was don't know what came over me the four -year
00:26:17 --> 00:26:20 -old wearing new balance sneakers white suburban
00:26:20 --> 00:26:25 dad just fully went into my soul okay well to
00:26:25 --> 00:26:28 finish out my my last moment i can't believe
00:26:28 --> 00:26:32 you didn't bring up peaches oh my god yes i forgot
00:26:32 --> 00:26:34 about how that didn't make it up on my list the
00:26:34 --> 00:26:37 whole ass conversation and the the beauty of
00:26:37 --> 00:26:39 that moment is that your mic was glitching so
00:26:39 --> 00:26:42 i couldn't hear you half the time i couldn't
00:26:42 --> 00:26:44 hear the first few words of your sentence and
00:26:44 --> 00:26:46 then it would i'd be able to hear you and so
00:26:46 --> 00:26:48 i didn't when i said how many more ways to start
00:26:48 --> 00:26:51 to say it referencing butts i didn't hear you
00:26:51 --> 00:26:55 at all saying peaches until the editing yes oh
00:26:55 --> 00:26:59 my gosh so that killed me I just remember you
00:26:59 --> 00:27:01 sending me the Snapchat of it when you finally
00:27:01 --> 00:27:05 realized it. And oh my gosh, that was too good.
00:27:07 --> 00:27:11 Maybe one of the best is when we're in the flashback
00:27:11 --> 00:27:14 with Cosmo talking to Tarada and the other guy.
00:27:15 --> 00:27:18 He's like facing them and we're curious. So we're
00:27:18 --> 00:27:20 behind all three of them. So it's Kiryu looking
00:27:20 --> 00:27:24 at Cosmo from the back and it cuts to a view,
00:27:24 --> 00:27:27 like almost full body view of... behind Cosma,
00:27:28 --> 00:27:33 and Tarada's hand is visible between Cosma's
00:27:33 --> 00:27:37 legs. Why is that there? Why didn't they get
00:27:37 --> 00:27:41 rid of that? It's for us. It's for the gamers.
00:27:41 --> 00:27:45 Oh my gosh. The way I gasped when I saw that.
00:27:45 --> 00:27:51 I was like, Cosma's pee -pee fell out. And then
00:27:51 --> 00:27:54 all the times, the pee -pees. All the pee -pees.
00:27:55 --> 00:27:57 There's one of my favorites is in Mafia when
00:27:57 --> 00:27:59 I hit a guy and he bounces over a barricade.
00:28:00 --> 00:28:03 Which, that's good. But I think of all the pee
00:28:03 --> 00:28:08 -pees, the corkscrew lady who does a 360 turn.
00:28:09 --> 00:28:13 That's my favorite. I also love how I just fully
00:28:13 --> 00:28:16 say pee -pee. And you, just to be safe, you give
00:28:16 --> 00:28:18 it a little space, a little cadence, and you
00:28:18 --> 00:28:22 say pee -pee. So as to know that we're not talking
00:28:22 --> 00:28:28 about pee -pees. Okay, but speaking of, you've
00:28:28 --> 00:28:29 given me shit for my driving in these games,
00:28:30 --> 00:28:31 and I keep trying to tell you, Kathy, you don't
00:28:31 --> 00:28:35 understand. And so I had to make you understand,
00:28:35 --> 00:28:37 and we've talked about doing this before, and
00:28:37 --> 00:28:40 we finally did it. I made you drive in games.
00:28:41 --> 00:28:46 So I have the video edited, pulled up, to show
00:28:46 --> 00:28:51 you how well you did. Okay. Here we go. Hold
00:28:51 --> 00:29:05 on. Why does she trip over nothing? She's calling
00:29:05 --> 00:29:09 the police. Oh my gosh. Look how creepy I'm going,
00:29:09 --> 00:29:22 Leah. We need to pause here because when I was
00:29:22 --> 00:29:25 editing, I was like, wait, this... Can you, like,
00:29:25 --> 00:29:29 see Tommy's face when you crash? No, but I'll
00:29:29 --> 00:29:48 do you one better. Just... Watch. Oh, my God.
00:29:48 --> 00:29:52 I can't breathe. Look at poor Tommy's... His
00:29:52 --> 00:29:57 ass! This is the new FBM, the flying booty moment.
00:29:57 --> 00:30:02 Oh, my God. I can't breathe. Oh, close, close.
00:30:02 --> 00:30:06 Oh, no. No, I didn't get arrested. No. I can't
00:30:06 --> 00:30:12 fight this. Well. I take it all back. Oh, my
00:30:12 --> 00:30:16 gosh. That was so funny. That seemed more intense
00:30:16 --> 00:30:20 than playing Rainbow Road. Well, we just have
00:30:20 --> 00:30:23 three topics left. Should we move on to our next
00:30:23 --> 00:30:28 bracket? Yes. Our next bracket is KFC. Kathy's
00:30:28 --> 00:30:32 favorite character. So what we did is we gathered
00:30:32 --> 00:30:35 all of your favorite characters from episodes
00:30:35 --> 00:30:37 and all of mine from all of the summary episodes
00:30:37 --> 00:30:39 and put them into a bracket. And if there were
00:30:39 --> 00:30:42 differences between games, like say I liked Nishiki
00:30:42 --> 00:30:44 Y0, you liked Nishiki K1, which is the opposite,
00:30:45 --> 00:30:48 then they're both in there and we specify because
00:30:48 --> 00:30:49 characters are different in different games.
00:30:50 --> 00:30:55 My final four is Tachibana. Bigby, John, and
00:30:55 --> 00:30:58 Connor. Ooh, those are the four that I would
00:30:58 --> 00:31:01 have picked for you. Okay, so Tachibana versus
00:31:01 --> 00:31:07 Bigby. I think you chose Tachibana. I chose Bigby.
00:31:07 --> 00:31:10 No, what? It was a hard one, though. It was difficult.
00:31:11 --> 00:31:16 I picked Bigby over Tachibana because Bigby would
00:31:16 --> 00:31:20 do anything for Snow except what he thinks is
00:31:20 --> 00:31:23 wrong. Which I appreciate because he's not blind
00:31:23 --> 00:31:26 to his love. He's trying to do good even when
00:31:26 --> 00:31:30 she thinks it's not good. And so then your other
00:31:30 --> 00:31:34 one is then who is it? John versus Connor. Maybe
00:31:34 --> 00:31:36 even more difficult than that. That one I knew.
00:31:37 --> 00:31:40 I remember you struggling so hard. I think ultimately
00:31:40 --> 00:31:45 you chose Connor. I did. And I hate myself for
00:31:45 --> 00:31:49 it. I picked Connor. All right. You got to tell
00:31:49 --> 00:31:53 me your. my top four yeah surprisingly it's all
00:31:53 --> 00:31:57 under the yakuza series so we have tachibana
00:31:57 --> 00:32:04 y0 tachibana versus yk2 ryuji uh i'm gonna guess
00:32:04 --> 00:32:11 ryuji tachibana oh man there's i think the very
00:32:11 --> 00:32:14 last end of knowing ryuji still wanted to die
00:32:15 --> 00:32:17 Even though his sister was alive versus what
00:32:17 --> 00:32:20 Tachibana would have given to be alive to see
00:32:20 --> 00:32:22 his sister and wouldn't just throw away his life
00:32:22 --> 00:32:24 like that. Yeah, that's true. And then Shinji
00:32:24 --> 00:32:29 and YK -1 versus Y -0 Nishiki. I mean, it has
00:32:29 --> 00:32:32 to be Nishiki from Y -0. Both of them did nothing
00:32:32 --> 00:32:36 wrong. But ultimately, I felt like Nishiki would
00:32:36 --> 00:32:39 deviate from his orders more so than what Shinji
00:32:39 --> 00:32:44 did. Which leaves Tachibana versus Nishiki. So
00:32:44 --> 00:32:47 Tachibana versus Y -Zero Nishiki. I mean, I think
00:32:47 --> 00:32:50 Y -Zero Nishiki just has a hold on you that you're
00:32:50 --> 00:32:52 never going to be able to break. So I got to
00:32:52 --> 00:32:56 pick Y -Zero Nishiki. Yep. You are correct. I
00:32:56 --> 00:32:59 don't blame you. I think you knew it going into
00:32:59 --> 00:33:02 this who my ultimate, ultimate KFC would be.
00:33:03 --> 00:33:06 Well, I thought I would know, but I had to make
00:33:06 --> 00:33:10 some real damn hard decisions here. And my final
00:33:10 --> 00:33:14 two ended up being Bigby and Connor. I know you
00:33:14 --> 00:33:17 like Bigby a lot, but for some reason, my gut,
00:33:17 --> 00:33:19 I don't know what the rationale it would be,
00:33:20 --> 00:33:22 but I think my gut is saying you chose Connor.
00:33:23 --> 00:33:26 I did. Oh, okay. I picked Connor. Another really
00:33:26 --> 00:33:29 difficult choice. You can't go wrong with either.
00:33:29 --> 00:33:32 You can't. And he carried that game. And he carried
00:33:32 --> 00:33:35 that game. So I just had to get him props for
00:33:35 --> 00:33:38 that. So our other category we always talk about
00:33:38 --> 00:33:43 is Kentucky Scorcher, which is... purely looks
00:33:43 --> 00:33:45 originally kentucky scorcher was supposed to
00:33:45 --> 00:33:49 be who is just hot but we found that you would
00:33:49 --> 00:33:52 talk too much about personality and i'm like
00:33:52 --> 00:33:54 we got to experiment against against us and that's
00:33:54 --> 00:33:57 when blind kentucky scorcher was born so for
00:33:57 --> 00:33:59 the purpose of this we didn't use your blind
00:33:59 --> 00:34:02 picks we used your straight up picks from the
00:34:02 --> 00:34:05 game and and mine as well if i had any and so
00:34:05 --> 00:34:07 the criteria for this bracket is just whatever
00:34:07 --> 00:34:12 could be a combination looks personality My final
00:34:12 --> 00:34:16 four is John, Tommy, Henry, and Bigby. Your final
00:34:16 --> 00:34:21 four is Majima, Wei, Henry, and Bigby. Half of
00:34:21 --> 00:34:24 our final four is the same. Yeah. So let's go
00:34:24 --> 00:34:27 to the bottom. Who won for you between Henry
00:34:27 --> 00:34:31 and Bigby? I struggled so hard right here. So
00:34:31 --> 00:34:34 did I. This is where some of the personality
00:34:34 --> 00:34:36 kind of bled into it. Like the righteousness
00:34:36 --> 00:34:40 of how Bigby could carry himself beat out Henry's.
00:34:41 --> 00:34:43 Like, the looking over your shoulder fear. And
00:34:43 --> 00:34:45 then I kind of got grossed out when they started
00:34:45 --> 00:34:49 selling drugs. Well, I picked Henry, so thanks
00:34:49 --> 00:34:53 for that. Whoops! I totally thought you were
00:34:53 --> 00:34:55 going to choose Bigby, so I'm like, Leah's going
00:34:55 --> 00:34:58 to agree with me. I don't know what it is that
00:34:58 --> 00:35:02 won out. I think it was just, he was just in
00:35:02 --> 00:35:04 charge. You know what I mean? Like, Bigby was
00:35:04 --> 00:35:07 a little more struggling to figure out what to
00:35:07 --> 00:35:10 do. And that lost points for me. Whereas Henry,
00:35:10 --> 00:35:13 even if he made bad decisions in the end, he
00:35:13 --> 00:35:19 was taking charge. Your top final two was Majima
00:35:19 --> 00:35:23 versus Wei. This is hard, but I have a gut feeling
00:35:23 --> 00:35:26 you picked Wei. I chose Majima. I struggled.
00:35:26 --> 00:35:30 I struggled for this one. Let's do yours. Top
00:35:30 --> 00:35:34 four. Wait, we already chose top four. We already
00:35:34 --> 00:35:37 know Henry, but between John and Tommy, we haven't.
00:35:37 --> 00:35:39 You haven't guessed that yet. I think you chose
00:35:39 --> 00:35:47 John. I did. John versus Henry. Hardest decision
00:35:47 --> 00:35:55 of my life. On a gut feeling, Henry. Yep. I think
00:35:55 --> 00:35:57 you betrayed John with that. I did. I betrayed
00:35:57 --> 00:36:03 John again. Two categories in a row. Okay, yours
00:36:03 --> 00:36:10 is Majima versus Bigby. Yes. Oh, this is a hard
00:36:10 --> 00:36:13 one. I'm going to say Majima. I did, yeah. The
00:36:13 --> 00:36:17 confidence and swagger this man has, even despite
00:36:17 --> 00:36:21 wearing the stupid construction hat. We had trouble.
00:36:21 --> 00:36:23 We wanted to do this more than once, so we did
00:36:23 --> 00:36:28 a new bracket. We did KFC and KS three times,
00:36:28 --> 00:36:30 and we took the top four from each of those,
00:36:30 --> 00:36:33 and we're going to put those into a bracket.
00:36:33 --> 00:36:36 If there was a person in both of those categories,
00:36:37 --> 00:36:39 They earned the right to be in the bracket twice.
00:36:39 --> 00:36:41 So this is basically like the ultimate character.
00:36:43 --> 00:36:47 Okay, my final four. Majima, Henry, John, Connor.
00:36:47 --> 00:36:51 What are yours? It went Big B, Y0 Nishiki, YK2,
00:36:52 --> 00:36:55 Majima, and Big B again. Who did I pick between
00:36:55 --> 00:36:59 Y0 Majima and Henry, Kathy? My gut feeling is
00:36:59 --> 00:37:02 like immediately like Majima, but then... You
00:37:02 --> 00:37:04 also crave Henry because we didn't see enough
00:37:04 --> 00:37:09 of him. I do. I crave Henry. Why? What? That's
00:37:09 --> 00:37:12 the perfect way to put it. You crave more of
00:37:12 --> 00:37:17 him. But I think Y -Zero Majima had his... The
00:37:17 --> 00:37:21 roots, like the... Oh, no. Oh, no. Did you say
00:37:21 --> 00:37:25 Henry? What's your final answer? Majima? Yeah.
00:37:25 --> 00:37:29 Okay, okay. I picked Y -Zero Majima. Yeah. Majima
00:37:29 --> 00:37:34 to be exact. Okay. And then bottom of the final
00:37:34 --> 00:37:36 four was John versus Connor. Another difficult,
00:37:36 --> 00:37:41 difficult choice. Well, I want to say Connor
00:37:41 --> 00:37:43 because I think that's how he ended up last time.
00:37:43 --> 00:37:50 I think John. It's John. I got two for two. My
00:37:50 --> 00:37:52 final two is Y -Zero, Majima, and John. Yeah.
00:37:53 --> 00:37:55 So let's find your final two. What's your first
00:37:55 --> 00:37:58 final four matchup? Big B versus Y -Zero Nishiki.
00:37:59 --> 00:38:03 Y -Zero Nishiki. All right. He's in the final
00:38:03 --> 00:38:09 two. And then Bigby versus YK2 Majima. Bigby.
00:38:10 --> 00:38:13 No. You had him in the final four twice and he
00:38:13 --> 00:38:19 lost both times. My final two. Y0 Majima versus
00:38:19 --> 00:38:25 John. I have to say Majima. It was a hard, hard
00:38:25 --> 00:38:30 choice. But I picked John. No. Out of guilt?
00:38:31 --> 00:38:33 No, it's not out of guilt. I had a moment of
00:38:33 --> 00:38:36 clarity. High toes. And maybe part of it is because
00:38:36 --> 00:38:38 I've been in a Red Dead real slump lately where
00:38:38 --> 00:38:40 a lot of my algorithm is Red Dead. I'm off of
00:38:40 --> 00:38:43 Stephen Hawking AI and onto Red Dead. You sent
00:38:43 --> 00:38:46 it to me and you got me on it now. I know. Stupid
00:38:46 --> 00:38:47 AI. It was a really funny one that popped up.
00:38:47 --> 00:38:51 I had to send it to you. But I was just reminded
00:38:51 --> 00:38:54 of how much more complex this character is than
00:38:54 --> 00:38:57 we give him credit for a lot. And how human his
00:38:57 --> 00:38:59 character is. And I'm really impressed by the
00:38:59 --> 00:39:01 writing and just the way that they developed
00:39:01 --> 00:39:05 his character into something human. And I just
00:39:05 --> 00:39:09 have to give his character credit for how real
00:39:09 --> 00:39:12 he is, but how much you still love him. Okay,
00:39:13 --> 00:39:18 your final two. Y -Zero Nishiki versus YK2 Majima.
00:39:19 --> 00:39:26 It's gotta be Y -Zero Nishiki, right? Yeah. I
00:39:26 --> 00:39:28 was like, who are you kidding? Don't look at
00:39:28 --> 00:39:32 me like that. Really, what made me fall in love
00:39:32 --> 00:39:36 with this character was this guy has been through
00:39:36 --> 00:39:39 the trenches with what Kazuma did. His entire
00:39:39 --> 00:39:43 destiny was pre -written for him, and he has
00:39:43 --> 00:39:45 gone up against every single challenge, despite
00:39:45 --> 00:39:48 living in Giryu's shadow. But in the end, despite
00:39:48 --> 00:39:50 he could have gone bitter and he could have just
00:39:50 --> 00:39:53 killed them all, he didn't. He redeemed himself.
00:39:53 --> 00:39:55 Do you know what's really interesting? What?
00:39:55 --> 00:39:59 Is I'm hearing a lot of similarities to John's
00:39:59 --> 00:40:02 character in your description because they both
00:40:02 --> 00:40:05 started out, you know, with a pseudo father who's
00:40:05 --> 00:40:09 kind of controlling them and leading their direction
00:40:09 --> 00:40:13 in life. And they both split from that. But Nishiki
00:40:13 --> 00:40:16 rises up in his world and John tries to leave
00:40:16 --> 00:40:19 his world. Did you play YCO first or Red Dead
00:40:19 --> 00:40:23 Redemption first? Red Dead. I think that might
00:40:23 --> 00:40:26 be something that has a huge impact because you
00:40:26 --> 00:40:30 met John first before Nishiki and I met Nishiki
00:40:30 --> 00:40:33 before I met John. It's the first character that
00:40:33 --> 00:40:36 you fell in love with and Nishiki's mine. My
00:40:36 --> 00:40:40 first love in video games. And John's your first
00:40:40 --> 00:40:47 love. But I crave Henry. We have one final topic,
00:40:47 --> 00:40:50 which is stats. You know, we love stats. We counted
00:40:50 --> 00:40:53 two things through every episode. There's going
00:40:53 --> 00:40:54 to be a margin of error. We're only human, but
00:40:54 --> 00:40:56 we both counted to try to get the most accurate
00:40:56 --> 00:41:00 count. The first thing we counted was when either
00:41:00 --> 00:41:04 one of us said, I feel like. I didn't add them
00:41:04 --> 00:41:06 up. I think you did, and you've got to tell me,
00:41:06 --> 00:41:12 Kathy. Is it over 100? Single -handedly, one
00:41:12 --> 00:41:17 season is over 100. So far, first 99 episodes
00:41:17 --> 00:41:20 of the podcast, I think we said, I feel like
00:41:20 --> 00:41:24 278 times. I love being on the other side of
00:41:24 --> 00:41:30 this. I'll give you another guess. 375. 856.
00:41:30 --> 00:41:34 Holy shit. No, that's not possible. Yeah. And
00:41:34 --> 00:41:35 it was going to be a lot, but I don't think it'd
00:41:35 --> 00:41:37 be damn near a thousand. At the end of season
00:41:37 --> 00:41:39 four, we're probably going to hit a thousand.
00:41:40 --> 00:41:43 All right. The second thing we counted was the
00:41:43 --> 00:41:47 times. Kathy said, nope, nope. Whenever I asked
00:41:47 --> 00:41:50 her a question. You slowed down. There was a
00:41:50 --> 00:41:52 lot in the earlier seasons, and you slowed down.
00:41:53 --> 00:42:00 I'm going to guess 47. 45. What? I almost said
00:42:00 --> 00:42:03 45. Oh, my gosh. I love seeing her reaction.
00:42:03 --> 00:42:06 Like, what? I have never seen you this excited
00:42:06 --> 00:42:08 before. That's why we each need to start tracking
00:42:08 --> 00:42:13 a stat. Yeah. The last thing was not a count,
00:42:13 --> 00:42:15 but it was the total duration of airtime. This
00:42:15 --> 00:42:19 was a really fun one. I have it down to the seconds,
00:42:19 --> 00:42:22 but I'm going to let you guess close to how many
00:42:22 --> 00:42:27 hours. Oh, my gosh. How many hours do I think?
00:42:27 --> 00:42:34 I'm going to go with 82 hours. Not quite. 63
00:42:34 --> 00:42:39 hours, 50 minutes, 11 seconds. That's so much
00:42:39 --> 00:42:42 time. 64 hours, yeah. Can't believe we've made
00:42:42 --> 00:42:48 all that. That's crazy. Well, we sort of already
00:42:48 --> 00:42:52 done our recap of how it got here, but there's
00:42:52 --> 00:42:53 just one thing I want to say before we thank
00:42:53 --> 00:42:56 everyone, which is not only did this podcast
00:42:56 --> 00:42:59 happen, but our friendship re -happened because
00:42:59 --> 00:43:02 of a birthday text. I was going to text you on
00:43:02 --> 00:43:05 your birthday. Your birthday is before me. I
00:43:05 --> 00:43:07 texted you and I didn't realize that my phone
00:43:07 --> 00:43:09 switched to texting your home phone, which is
00:43:09 --> 00:43:12 another cell phone. And so I didn't hear from
00:43:12 --> 00:43:14 you. And I was like, that's weird, because even
00:43:14 --> 00:43:16 though we stopped being we didn't stop being
00:43:16 --> 00:43:18 friends, but we kind of went our own ways. Right.
00:43:18 --> 00:43:21 Like middle of high school. We still annually
00:43:21 --> 00:43:24 twice a year say happy birthday to each other.
00:43:24 --> 00:43:27 And then I didn't hear from you. And then your
00:43:27 --> 00:43:29 mom told you to message me and we started talking.
00:43:30 --> 00:43:33 Exactly. The point is, if you're thinking about
00:43:33 --> 00:43:35 a friend you haven't seen in a while, you know,
00:43:35 --> 00:43:37 life takes us different directions. Send a birthday
00:43:37 --> 00:43:40 text. So what if they don't respond and you feel
00:43:40 --> 00:43:42 like an idiot? You're not there and asked for
00:43:42 --> 00:43:45 not responding back, right? Unless it went to
00:43:45 --> 00:43:48 their home phone and they didn't notice. Moral
00:43:48 --> 00:43:51 of the story. Moral of the 100 episodes of this
00:43:51 --> 00:43:54 podcast. It's the butterfly effect. It's until
00:43:54 --> 00:43:59 dawn. Send one text. Create 100 episodes of a
00:43:59 --> 00:44:03 podcast. Life's completely different. Should
00:44:03 --> 00:44:06 we say thank you very much for listening? Thank
00:44:06 --> 00:44:09 you, especially those that have followed us since
